I don't think you should have to change your interests but it's imporant to comprimise and also to support them if they're chasing dreams in those kind of things and to believe in them while the world laughs. You're that person's everything and rock and what you think and make them feel of their interests / hobbies / dreams etc can make or break a person.

I'm not a huge gamer person but I never shut my boyfriend up when he talks about games because I notice I'm his best-friend and his interests even if they aren't mine matter to him and I don't want him to feel like shit ever or he can't be passionate about something unless we have it in common, I also wouldn't want to be with someone who didn't believe in me.
