Not yet. He was extremely dehydrated (even though he was excessively drinking) so they are giving him fluids. They thought that it was a toxin he got into, but his liver function was only slightly elevated at 107 (normal is 100). And his kidneys were fine. So, that pretty rules out toxin. His breathing rate is at 80 (normal is 60). His heart rate is really elevated. And his RBC count is EXTREMELY high, they even tested it twice because they've never experienced that high. A 'high' level is 55, Bleeker is at 75. He was low in potassium, so he's getting some of that too. Other than that, they just said we'll just have to wait it out. If he is stable enough at 5:00, they will let us take him home, and bring him back tomorrow morning so they can investigate further. If not, we will have to drive him to the emergency vet to stay overnight and get more fluids, and then we will bring him back to his primary care tomorrow morning.
