I know that Canadians are not allowed to run tournaments because of gambling laws... Is there a way were you guys can work around it? If so, the Canadian market if profitable because there are alot of players interested in joining the tournaments. Let me know what you think Justin.

We've gone back and forth about this with MLG Legal and the only "work around" is having Canadian only tournaments with a payout that is no more than the buy in.
Sorry, I know that sucks but its all we're allowed to do at this point.

add the rule from 360 icons where if you have the wrong rules for a tournament match and win that map you get to replay.... it will make everyone stop bitching about it and its a good simple rule that other sites use --- cr8

I answered already why we don't have maps replayed when rules are wrong. Its about 20 questions down or so. If you have any other solutions feel free to suggest them.

U make a good point on people abusing the system but when its two top teams that play most tournaments mistakes will happen and has happened, there needs to be a different solution that doesnt teach kids to take the easy way out, gb has turned into a competition of who can fuck over who.

I see what your saying about teams who play a lot, they are bound to make a mistake once in a while. I wish we could just give teams a break once in a while but that would be showing favoritism to top teams and that cant happen either. Also, who decides who is and is not a top team? Its just a touchy subject.
We've put a ton of though into it and how to avoid these types of situations recently and have not been able to come up with a fair solution that does not involve a forfeit. If anyone has a suggestion, Shoot it at me and I'll either tell you why it wont work or we'll consider using it.

about that rL tournament forfeit- u do realize that there R close to about 50 rules and options on blackops 2 its not like cod 4 where theres only 5, why is it that the only answer to that problem is forfeit

There has to be a consequence for a wrong rule or people will intentionally break rules knowing they are going to get away with it. The only other option is to replay when rules are broken - This also presents the problem of teams intentionally breaking rules, If they get away with it, they get the advantage whatever rule was broken and have no consequence. If they get caught, they know they just replay so it would be a win win to break rules intentionally. This would make Tournaments run way longer and require more staff to run tournaments. Understand, this is not what I think RL did but you have to look at it from this standpoint.
In my mind, the solution is people checking and rechecking their settings before starting a match so a forfeit is never needed. We hate forfeiting people, its a very negative part of being staff.
