Have you ever been in love?
I don't know what love is, and whatever it is, it definitely isn't what is described below. The first memory I have of her was in grade 9, when she was walking out of the library in high school. She looked up at me for glance, and then quickly looked back down. The last time I saw her was after high school graduation. I was sitting on the bench at the metrotown bus station talking to a friend while waiting for the 144. She wore a long white dress with her back exposed, and a disappointed look on her face as our eyes met while she walked past me, and out of my life.
It's been more than 10 years since I first noticed her, and I still think about her. The way she used to smile with her teeth when she was really happy, the two black dots on her face, and what could've happened if I just said hi. She's getting married soon, and I am happy for her. I don't think I'll ever get over her.
