Life is but a cycle of happiness, downfalls, learning the lesson of your downfall, and rising up again. Cycle starts over from there.

The bible says that we must love our neighbors as we love ourselves and there is no greater commandment than that and the other one (love God with all your soul...)
Clearly no matter what the bible says about anything, it all comes down to these two greatest commandments. So no matter how much the bible rants about homosexuality being a sin, and they shall be shamed, the greater commandment must not be questioned. We must love our homosexual comrades nonetheless instead of shaming them.

well its because i grew up with my dad telling me that uh being gay is a sin and thats why God burned down sodom and gomorrah (well partly daw) and i want to support gay people but its ingrained in my mind so i cant just like do that easily but i have lots of gay people and im pretty chill with--

Do what your heart tells you to do :) I don't normally advise this in like serious situations but this is the best exception. Love them. Love gay people as you would love other people. And if you feel bad or guilty or something, remember that Pope Francis loves gays too :)

I'd have to admit that tumblr is such an influence in shaping the minds of the youth these days. And while sometimes tumblr is pretty fucked up, it has its good points too. Tumblr is right in putting it out there that our gay, lesbian, bi, trans, asexual, pansexual (et cetera) siblings are human beings too and that they deserve love and not hate especially from religions, sectors, or institutions that promote love between enemies and love for all whether rich or poor, man or woman by heart or by neither. Because if you promote such love, then you are a hypocrite for claiming that the people of the genders besides male and female deserve to be shamed. There can be two things to that, either you are blinded by the things/ customs you grew up with or you just really don't like them. Or maybe we're all just insecure of them because damn, they be fab as unicorns.
