Ask @XxScarletPhoenixX:

How did gender roles come to be? Are they completely and entirely bad/unsuitable for today's world, or is there anything logical and/or salvageable out of them?

WonderRand *:・゚☆
I always believed gender inequality/ assigned roles to be complete nonsense.
Anyone can aspire to be what they want to be, there is no guidelines to follow.
Or well, not anymore.. and that's always for the best.
Nobody should have to be chained out of opportunities and/or their own aspirations for any reason.. let alone something as insignificant as gender.

what shampoo brand have you been using lately? what does it smell like?

Null
Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo with Avocado and Australian Jojoba Oil.
I love the way it smells, which would be like a very natural, sweet scent to it.
For conditioner, I like to use TRESemmé Curl Hydration with Shea butter OR
TRESemmé Expert Selection Conditioner, Botanique Nourish and Replenish.
Both are good for wavy hair types, which I have and they really make my hair nice and wavy with the small curls it has in the back, with some towel scrunching.

Is there life on Mars?

''It's a God-awful small affair
To the girl with the mousy hair
But her mummy is yelling no
And her daddy has told her to go
But her friend is nowhere to be seen
Now she walks through her sunken dream
To the seat with the clearest view
And she's hooked to the silver screen
But the film is a saddening bore
For she's lived it ten times or more
She could spit in the eyes of fools
As they ask her to focus on
Sailors fighting in the dance hall
Oh man, look at those cavemen go
It's the freakiest show
Take a look at the lawman
Beating up the wrong guy
Oh man, wonder if he'll ever know
He's in the best selling show
Is there life on Mars?
It's on America's tortured brow
That Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow
Now the workers have struck for fame
'Cause Lennon's on sale again
See the mice in their million hordes
From Ibiza to the Norfolk Broads
Rule Britannia is out of bounds
To my mother, my dog, and clowns
But the film is a saddening bore
'Cause I wrote it ten times or more
It's about to be writ again
As I ask you to focus on
Sailors fighting in the dance hall
Oh man, look at those cavemen go
It's the freakiest show
Take a look at the lawman
Beating up the wrong guy
Oh man, wonder if he'll ever know
He's in the best selling show
Is there life on Mars?''

How do you define a narcissist? what do you think a narcissist is like in real life? How do you deal with one?

WonderRand *:・゚☆
Well, I like to think it comes in many forms
But the biggest factor is overplaying what they do.
And then providing a VERY long explanation of the SPECIAL meaning behind why you did that special thing.
And then, they preach to you about it, like they found the answer to life.
And maybe they slap a cute anime image on there to make it seem special.
Don't get me wrong, I love wholesome, deep rants. People who share things about what they make, the friends they've made, life experiences. Share what you feel.
But, do you really want to read a giant long text post about someone telling YOU what to think or feel? Like, does it really need to be fact, if it's how you feel?
Like, come on. You don't have to talk like you're writing an essay. If you like those kind of people, feel free to.
But, do you ever look into what someone is saying, as a continuous narrative, do you ever question how perfect it seems?
I notice narcissists tend to...portray it like that.
There's always good things in their life. good people they know. good people they hold oh so special things about that NOBODY else knows. It's all about them in their little quest to bring up their ego- I mean, uh, knowledge.
But I often wonder, do you guys buy into that?
Like, it's just one perspective.
For example, if I told you I acquired a large amount of money, and that I worked hard for it.
Would you believe me? Maybe I stole it. Maybe I saved it over years. Maybe I inherited it.
Please, for narcissists, I think the best way to question them is not ask about ''what'' they did, but ''how''.
Do you know the full truth?
Do I?
Words are kind of blurred, aren't they? Hard to read?
But, let me tell you, if we're speaking the same language,
and you're talking bullshit,
then, well, it's bullshit.
You shouldn't filter people's heads with bullshit and then pretend you've saved the day after.
What gives you the right to do that to people?
They give you time to hear you out, yet you can't do the same?
Narcissists thrive off attention. No matter what.
It just depends if you, give them attention.
I mean all of you.
Think harder about what they say.
Look deeper.
There's always two sides to the story.

I'm curious why the name, "Eternal Night"? How did you come up with it? Is there a story behind it?

!⚡@@© ])u++∆π
Eternal Night was referring to a silent period in life where I didn't get much connection from people I felt close to.
At the time, I felt I was being shut out, or trapped.
I eventually realized life does things out of our control and we have to accept it. Life does things, and we can only watch. We can try our hardest, but sometimes we have no stake but to wait. Wait for day to come.
So the night continued.
It lingered forever, therefore eternal.
As of now. is it night? I'd call it more of a mellow afternoon.
But the fear of the night is what guides me.
I prepare for it, it doesn't really go away. I have to be there for others when the night comes.
I actually really like the night time, in a literal sense.
It's so peaceful. Gives me time to be alone.
The metaphorical night. If I could describe it. Imagine a stressful scenario in life. Be it to you or others. It just continues and goes on, and on. And you're just wondering why it doesn't end sooner. We've all had bad days. Chaos.
But we can enjoy the peace while it stays here. When things have calmed down. But for me, I fear for when it ends, and when I'll need to keep my eyes open during the night.
But for now, the peace is very nice.
I'm not a fan of orange skies, but it will do.

Storms are becoming stronger, more intense, and deadly. Scientists theorize that human-caused climate change is to blame. Have you heard of global warming? How much do you know about it? Do you believe it's important to lower our impact on the environment/atmosphere for our own safety? (spam 3)

Erin Wolf
It would indeed be for our own survival and that of most likely every other species on earth.
The planet itself lives and will live on even if we were to destroy the ecosystem on it's surface, which we have been doing, slowly.. although, it is a natural process, one that we have been accelerating unnaturally.
Personally, I see it as my own mother and just like her, I try my best to make sure and not hurt her in any significant way.
That being said, I'm a minuscule fraction of all the population on earth and we would need pretty much all of said population to be on the same page to at least slow down the process immensely.
For that I honestly believe we would need a revolution in terms of the energy we consume, to somehow find a way to fuel the needs of all without all the drawbacks we currently have.
Which most likely would have to be a resource not found on Earth itself.

What field are you interested in but don't really know that much about? Why does it pique your interest?

WonderRand *:・゚☆
Education, I guess.
I don't know anything about teaching but... Who knows?
It does interest me... maybe just the idea of imparting knowledge itself, not just the academic kind either.
I feel it is something very important and if it could help even one person out there then, that would be rewarding enough.

Do you think love fades away?

I want to thank you for confronting me.
I would have never gotten the closure we needed.
In the past, I starved for your love.
But I realize, the friends I made, the people I met, and the bonds I formed, even if they are gone gave me back my confidence.
Because of them, I was able to love myself more.
I'll always be insecure, but because of them, and not you, I was able to be confident in my decision.
Because they loved me when I wouldn't love myself.
They sat through all my shit because of who I was.
And you didn't. And you had your reasons. We all make mistakes. We could have been better people. Maybe we could have worked it out.
But when it came to deciding if I should let you back in, I refused you.
Because I wanted to be with them.
To: My friends.
I love you all. I am nothing without you.
The ones who really cared about me and never gave up.
I wouldn't trade you, for an ex that hurt me.
And today, I made sure that wouldn't happen.
I won't have to feel anxious anymore.
I did it for you guys. Everyone.
I love you guys. Former and present. You cared for me to give me the strength to do this.
I'm free.
Thank you all.

All of my close friends are like that. We can honestly talk for hours upon hours like time was paused for that exact period of endless meaningful deep conversation. Never a dull moment, and eventually connecting spirit to spirit, where we both become LOVE itself. I totally get what your saying.

+1 answer in: “What do you wish ?”

Passion dies when there is no desire. Love is temporary.

Alicia + Jenni
I never said I was talking about love.
All things are temporary, and that's kind of the beauty of it.
Seeing things grow and fade. Seeing new things start.
But memories are forever, if you will it.
Passion does die, yes. But why do we let it fade that way?
Do we? Is it out of our control? Or can we change the direction it goes.
If only passion could stay forever.
Be it in our relationships, our projects, our jobs, stories, artworks.
I guess you could say I'm a bit nostalgic towards things.

What do you wish ?

Have you ever felt something instant with someone?
Im talking having conversations for hours.
Those comfy late night talks till 5 am.
Or that moment when you take a chance, open up to someone and find out you have more in common than you think you do?
Have you ever chased that feeling?
Have you ever then, decided to make plans with that person and hang out?
Maybe a call at first. Anything. Just a way to reach them. Have you ever loved it?
Right? You learn so much about them and it's wonderful to hear them share things about themselves. You feel great! Like you helped someone and they learned about you.
Have you ever felt the need to grow closer?
To be more for them? To keep pushing yourself for them.
To love them.
Now here's the real question that will divide a lot of personal experiences you all may have.
Did it go wrong?
Did it go right?
If you answered yes to the first question.
Do you think it's your fault?
Was it...all a misunderstanding?
Did you try your hardest? Or did you give up at the end?
I guess the reason I'm asking this is: Are you like me? I want to know if there are people out there who have ever really connected with someone and then it fizzles out. Just...as quick as the spark ignited.
If you answered yes to the second question, and no to the first. And if you talk to that person, every day with that burning passion as you carve out your next adventure with them. My question to you is:
What does it feel like?

What are your core values? Do you believe anything could make you change/reevaluate your values? Do you think people's morals/values are flexible or do you believe that most people stand by their values regardless of bribes or the challenges they face? What values do you think you'd compromise on?

Erin Wolf
• Loyalty
• Trustworthiness
• Patience
• Peace

Do I believe anything could make me reevaluate my values? Possibly- if its greater in a good sense of trait.
Some people may be stubborn for the greater good due to "a man convinced of his will is still of the same opinion" - while others may change, all because it depends on the perspective they're seeing.
The last question is too vague to answer mainly because I need to know of a certain one- there's a lot of values I could compromise on. Thank you for the question- it was very intriguing.

Hi everyone. A again, I wanted to share a few things with you.
I'll cut right to the chase.
I want to openly come out as bisexuall! I've felt this way for years, and really only talked about it in private. Although, I am MOSTLY into guys, as girls just aren't my thing.
I don't think sexuality needs a label either. sexuality is a big grey area. I can't say i've completely figured myself out, but I want you to know this acc is LGBT+ friendly!
that's all.
Happy Valentine's day!

Firstly, thanks for the support! Here's your question spam: As spring approaches, what is something you most look forward about the changing seasons? Have you noticed less bugs out each spring? Have springs been warmer/normal/cooler each year? Has the weather been more extreme for you each year?

Erin Wolf
Well, aside from the convenience of spring/summer/fall when it comes to transportation and the like... The colours and all the life that had been missing in winter.. new beginnings.
As for the other questions...
The weather around here every year is becoming more and more unpredictable.. to the point where checking on the weather forecast is probably not even worthwhile...they mainly just get the temperature right (not always).
Sometimes winters are too warm and start early / end late... Summers are becoming very very warm and anything in between could be chaos.
Global warming is a heck of a thing.

the best film of all times and nations!?

Not my favorite film of all time, but I emplore you all to please check out Bumblebee, the new installment in the Transformers franchise.
While the last few live action films have been mediocre to awful, I say this as a fan of the franchise, please support this franchise to continue in its new direction.
Transformers isn't just a movie series about PG-13 action and weird sex humor, there are different continuities such as G1, Beast Wars, Unicron Trilogy that bless this franchise with creativity and diversity. And we should welcome Bumblebee with open arms.
Bumblebee is like... think cheesy 80s film mixed with Iron Giant and Herbie, plus good action. And the film is actually made with passion and interest.
If you want good wholesome movies about robots to continue existing, support Bumblebee! Either see it in theaters or stream it.
(This is not a paid advertisement, I swear, just go see it! It's cute as heck!)

Well, since you don't mind, I would like to correct you on one thing. You said that you thought "with whom will you agree with" was correct but it's not. You see, only one 'with' is necessary as there is only one prepositional phrase in that question.

Yeah, you're right. I added one more that wasn't needed.
Thanks, anon!

Ah, I see. Thanks much. I'll use "with whom" as you suggested. I'm kinda curious now though. How do you know so much about this? Are you a grammarian?

I was a pretty good writer in HS. I was in AP Lit too
But I'm not perfect
so, if anyone thinks this is wrong or finds another solution, by all means welcome it!

Yeah, I will, but first could you tell me which of these questions sounds more natural? 1) With whom will you agree? 2) Who will you agree with?

I feel like ''Who will you agree with?''
But ''whom'' refers to an object of a verb
So whom would probably be necessary..
''With whom will you agree?''
why not, ''With whom will you agree with?''
