whats your plan after graduation? do you see yourself actually working in something related to architecture, or do you plan on doing something entirely different? :)

This was asked 12 months ago! Incredible how things have developed since then! I'm so sorry for not being active here. This time last year I was praying so hard to graduate!
Let me take a recap of what's happened since
- end of July, I moved from London to Brighton, and worked as a waitress with my fav friends in Brighton. It was an amazing last summer in UK
- I went back to KL end of september.
-I received a couple of job offers (both related and unrelated to architecture)
- October, I started working as a designer/illustrator/photographer at a creative agency (that specialises in branding and marketing)
It was a very hard decision. I had to sit down and really consider where I wanted to go, who I wanted to be, and how I wanted to develop myself. I wanted to gain skills in business, marketing & branding (because insyaAllah, its in the eventual 10-15 year plan to develop my own long term venture. Why so late? I have my reasons). While at the same time, I wanted to explore other projects too. Alhamdulillah, this position allowed me to do all this. And for now it's good.
I've said this - I might go back into practice later in life. There's no time limit for my gig in architecture ^^ I don't want to define myself by just one profession, as I'm interested in multiple fields. This doesn't mean that I'm flitting through life without a purpose. I have my goals. They're probably just not what people expect from me, maybe, but I'm sincerely happy with how things are going now with my life.
I enjoy what I do, I have a boss that appreciates my individuality, I part timed as a travel photographer, I just got shortlisted as a Canon Ambassador (and there is still another project in the pipeline that I'm so excited to work out this year!) Praying it goes well!

thank you, thank you so much. this means a lot

Hi Sha! What would you do whenever you feel like giving up in your studies? Maybe you could share some advices or few words with me here? :(

This hits so close too home. I'm telling you now that choosing to do something else (ie choosing to change courses, or to stop university and work instead) is not the worse decision. As long as you keep growing and not stop, there is no wrong path.
The worse you could do is give up, quit, and stay stagnant.
Whenever I felt like giving up, I always ask myself - what's stressing me out so much? Is it exams? Is it a submission? If i fail this exam, is it going to affect the rest of my uni career? Is there any way I can make up for this grade with other assignments? Can i repeat next year?
Asking all these is not planning to fail. It's just reducing the pressure on yourself. If you take things in smaller steps, focus on the immediate task that you have to do, you'll realise that eventually you'll be able to do it, and get through it.
You got this. You're good enough. All the best.

Are you ever gonna be an architect? Or you think you're not good enough?

Haha I think I'm good enough. I got a couple of offers. At this point in my life I just want to explore my other interest and improve my knowledge, skills in business, branding n marketing :) Currently working at a creative company that specialises in all of the above. Plus, my current pay as a designer and photographer is way better than what I would be receiving working as a graduate architect.
Maybe later in life i'll go into practice. But it's really not a priority for me at point. I enjoyed learning architecture (my fav part of it was history and futuristic/fantastical conceptualisations. I'm not too keen re: the technicals and construction, which is prominent in practice). We'll see ^^
