1/2 I conur! We can't act all the same at every place (like we can't act same at office like we act at our house. and that is not my actual issue. Perhaps I had not made my question clear

Well i remember that theory called hierarchy of needs by Maslow and it said humans have innate thirst to get love and feel belonged. So maybe to get that acceptance from others we try to behave according to what we consider they'll approve and appreciate? And we're too afraid that showing our real feelings, behaviors and thoughts will make ppl abhorrent of us.

Cuz every situation, every gathering, every new challenge demands a different us. We try to act accordingly. Our ideal self seems to be better at coping and that's why we pass over our real self. We wear different personas, different masks in different circumstances.
