The Christian faith does not believe in being gay. What are your thoughts on being gay?
I'm very happy that there is someone on ASK who is knowledgeable about the Christian faith, and I'm also happy that you called it faith, because let's face it: Religion is a VERY messy word.
My thoughts on gay marriage are as follows:
My God does not support same sex marriage or relationship, and nor does he support lying. I believe that each sin is GENERALLY weighed the same. Christ has described murder as an unforgivable sin, along with choosing the mark of the beast. The Bible doesn't say that being "gay" is an unforgivable sin, and I agree that it can be forgiven or MAYBE even accepted.
I have not prayed much about this issue, but I know those who have communication with God will find answers to their "problems" or "questions".
A person's sexual preference need not concern ME. I work at McDonald's, and I certainly wouldn't think twice if I had to serve a customer who supported gay rights or is gay themselves. "To each their own".
In the terms of being acceptable "TO ME":
I don't like seeing ANY couple make out in my work lobby, regardless of if it's boy/girl, girl/girl, or boy/boy. I feel that couples should only be INTIMATE at home, and not in the eyes of public. Like I said, I wouldn't think twice if I saw two men holding hands, but if ANY couple, hetrosexual/homosexual locks faces in my presence.... Yes, I'll be uncomfortable. (Even if it's my own parents.)
Please, I want more questions from you. I like you, you sound like a very well-rounded person. If you need anymore answers, advice, or faith, please don't hesitate to ask.
