Usually I have an idea and I write it down, a brief summary of how I want to story to go. After that I add in different scenes, side plots/characters etc as I write. I didn't use to plan much. With my current main project which I'm working on, I've planned a little more extensively. There's a LOT of characters, most of them side characters but they affect the plot and are very significant in how the story plays out. I have a character portfolio of sorts for each character mentioned in a separate notebook (even if the character gets a one page mention I'll make a portfolio for him/her). Every little detail is important and I haven't planned this much ever before. I believe that when I plan extensively I lose interest in writing out the story but this one novel of mine that I'm working on doesn't follow this thought of mine. It's the one project I could plan every little thing for and still be satisfied with writing it, and not losing interest. Wow, I went off topic. Anyways, usual planning process: -summary of story (1-3 pages. I usually have the beginning and the end. I figure out the middle as I write on). -character portfolio for main characters -issues the book deals with -how said issue are resolved
I'm currently working on two stories. My main focus is on my fantasy novel which I won't reveal the title for until I'm confident enough to publish it on wattpad. The other story I'm working on is called Fingertips and it's more of a side project--I actually have an update ready which will be going up tomorrow! 》https://www.wattpad.com/story/136682896-fingertips
From whom can one request covers? Who do you recommend?
I think XantheRowds takes requests for a small payment of course. Check out her account. Other than her I know no one else who is taking cover requests. You can try the media clubs! They have fantastic people who can make some hella great covers.
I'm the worst at titles. I usually don't have a title till I'm 6-8 chapters into the book. The titles I usually come up with focus on the main theme of the book. - The Empirical Law. The novel was about a woman based on this very law. - Fingertips. "Fingertips" by OneRepublic is what inspired me to write the short story hence the title. - Wicked Chase. About a young woman chasing safety for herself and her people--and the wicked because the journey was pretty wicked
Hmm... well, the characters I build are not made completely from scratch but they're not heavily based on people I know in real life either. A mix of both I guess :)
How do you balance your love for math and your love for writing? I'm sure you're a busy human, lol. I can barely do it as a college student??
It's always been about setting priorities straight. For example, during the school year I'd write but when exams draw closer (a month or two away) I put writing in the back burner and focus mostly on my studies. I would still write from time to time but my main focus would be on my studies. Last year after I completed writing The Empirical Law I had three months till exams and I sporadically wrote, and it wasn't my main focus. Also tbh, when you love two things or more, there's no need to balance it out. Do what you love and do it in the moment you feel strongly about it. Like, I love maths but that doesn't mean I'll do/practice/study it all the time right? Just like writing. I love writing but that doesn't mean I'll write all the time. I don't think there's a perfect way to answer this question. You have to figure out what works for you!
I deactivated ask.fm just because of this but I guess 2k18 is the time for ignoring this trash. Think positive! Ignore negative! Make that a mantra haha.
Nothing because I don't think of her..? Look, she's successful and I'm happy for her. I'm not a fan of her works but I respect her. And I honestly can't be bothered with this drama anymore. It's been going on for so long. Aren't y'all tired of it??
why can't i find imperial compass on your profile?
Because I haven't posted it. And I've also decided to stop writing it so it won't be going up on my profile, at least not any time soon
who is your hero???
the prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
What was the best thing that happened to you today?
I found out I might be seeing my best friend in a few days and I haven't seen her the entire year so I'm so happy right now
How to reconnect with someone who has ignored me for quite some time?
Try messaging them and tell them you miss them, that you'd like to catch up sometime because what if that person hasn't been ignoring you? Maybe you assumed wrong and that person actually has something going on. Reach out and try to make conversation. But if he/she is avoiding you then they're ignoring you and honestly, you shouldn't waste your time on people who ignore you when you can spend that time on people who love and care for you
Um, I don't quite know exactly. My siblings know that I write but they haven't read any of my work. My Ma has a read a bit of Deteriorating Hearts but that's about it. I like to keep my writing private from people I know in rl
