I'm not really a fan of tea, I prefer coffee but I might start drinking it. What are your recommendations and what cups do you think I should be drinking it from? I use ceramic cups and saucers for coffee. Should I buy specific teacups and saucers? like porcelain ones in detriment of ceramic?

That’s fair enough! :) cup wise, I honestly don’t think it matters much, just whatever you prefer to drink from! I think porcelain and ceramic are relatively balanced and equal in terms of holding the heat, so I don’t think you’d need to specifically buy porcelain cups, unless you genuinely wanted to!
In regards to tea, I’d start with English Breakfast first, as that’s the most popular type, and you can try that to different strengths or tastes (ie, whether you want it black, with milk or with lemon, etc). Like with coffee, it’s trial and error until finding a combination you like. Twinings is my favourite tea brand, but there’s many decent ones out there! I’m partial to Earl Grey as my favourite type of tea, which is very slightly different to English Breakfast, but I think that’s a good starting point to then branch out from :)

Is Tea a genuine name or is it short for something? I've met some Teas and, surprisingly ~NOT* they were all from the UK. Do brits love their tea that much to the point they name their daughters that?

Hahaha, I mean, I do love tea and it is somewhat a source of life for a lot of Brits, but it’s usually a nickname! I think it’s a pretty cool nickname in truth (but that may be because I’m in awe of how cool @origamibirds is!) ☕️✨

Does a tip jar make it more fair for all employees or unfair for those who work better?

I don’t see the harm in having a tip jar - whenever someone tips me after I’ve served them, it makes me happy that it’ll collectively benefit everyone - regardless of the amount that the person may have tipped. Every little helps, y’know? The gesture of being tipped means more to me than receiving anything :)

Do you enjoy being in your own company or does it make you uncomfortable?

I love being in my own company - if anything, I probably enjoy it too much 🤣
It’s relaxing and peaceful being able to be by myself - whether that be doing hobbies that I enjoy, or just relaxing and being contemplative. I am a huge introvert, so I feel like I need that time to myself as I can feel energetically depleted fairly quickly around others :)

How have you been feeling mentally and physically?

Sometimes I’m doing okay, for the most part. Deep down though, it’s hard to say, in truth. I’ve been doing a lot of meditations the last few weeks to try and shift trauma, and I think it’s working - I can feel like I’m reliving it to an extent, as it’s making me feel so unwell and in pain, a lot of the time. I feel the energy kind of expelling from me if that makes sense, and I hope that doesn’t sound too woo woo. I’m just fatigued in every sense of the word because of it - dealing with angst from the past, and stresses about the present and upcoming future. Kinda just wanna cry atm, but yeah. Sometimes I feel hopeful but currently I feel hopeless aha.
I apologise for the over sharing, it’s difficult to feel so alone all the time. I’ll probably delete this in a bit. But thank you for the question, it truly means a lot. I hope you’re doing okay :)

When you read something, do you hear yourself saying it in your head as you read it. Or do you hear nothing? (apparently there's a lot of people who hear absolutely nothing when they read, and others who hear their inner voice reading it out in their head)

LouisaRHale’s Profile PhotoLou
I’ve always read or think things through with my inner voice! If I’m reading a story with characters with different accents and such, I’ll hear that too, or an actor’s voice if they’ve portrayed that character (for example, I’m reading The Witcher, so I hear Henry Cavill’s voice, etc!). I feel like it’d be so weird to not hear anything, I swear I always hear my internal stream of consciousness ahah 🙈

Do you do anything weird when you wake up in the morning? For me I drink a litter of water no clue if that's weird or not

That doesn’t sound weird at all, if anything, that’s a very good thing! I know I don’t drink enough water, aha. I’ve gotten into the habit of doing a 10min breathing meditation when I wake up and just before I go to sleep, so that’s the only thing I can think of!

When I hear stories like these, it makes me more and more scared about relationships. I have had an ab*sive relationship myself, but thankfully that I was strong enough and got out of it quickly and didn't give much excuses. However I am always scared, I prefer to stay single.

That’s understandable, and I can definitely relate to how you feel about relationships. I’m sorry to hear you were in an ab*sive relationship, and that’s really admirable that you were able to extricate yourself from such a situation, it certainly couldn’t have been easy. Kudos to you, truly. I haven’t been in one, but I’ve certainly had connections (not romantic) with others that were far from healthy, that had a lasting impact.
I guess it helps to remember that there are genuinely good people out there and those who would treat you right, should you ever feel inclined to put yourself out there again. Like you though, I don’t think being single is a bad thing either!
