Livi, how is your skin care going? I remember about 6mths ago you talked about starting prescription tret/niac (no, I’m not going to try and spell the whole words 😂) and cicaplast. How’s your skin? Did you purge?
Heya!! Haha, I can’t spell them either, dw 🤣
Truthfully, I stopped using the tret a few months back ~ particularly with my job outside, it just felt like it was irritating my skin more than anything, and I didn’t notice any benefit from using it. Perhaps that’s normal and I’m just impatient, but I’m still dealing with the fallout from using it! Cicaplast definitely helps calm my skin and eases the angriness of my spots, if that makes sense.
I went to the dermatologist last month and he’s given me an anti emollient cream for eczema/psoriasis, and it’s honestly helped so much! I feel like it’s stopped my skin from breaking out/infections forming as it’s *cleaner*, if that figures! My skin sucks atm but that’s due to stress, but on the whole, it’s definitely improving!
I’m at work atm, but if you’re interested, I can give you the name of the cream! :)
(Sorry for the incoherent ramble, but I hope it helps a little! I’ve heard a lot of good things about tret though, I guess it’s different for everyone and it probably requires a long time to visibly show any improvement) :)
