Females can do the wrong thing by a child too. I would feel worried anyway, but I wouldn't not send my child somewhere based on the gender of the worker. That's discrimination and I wouldn't do that. I've had a lot of male teachers at school, first one being in year 3 not long after I was first abused, he was the nicest teacher ever and I never felt unsafe.
