What do you do to empower yourself?

I always think I could do better and am often self-critical. This effects my confidence in myself a lot! To try and combat this I keep a 'positives' book where I only put what went well and what I DID do. Then on days where I doubt myself I can look back over it and it gives me a boost! ⭐⭐⭐

Do you think it's wrong to have the picture of someone else for your profile?

dodoBluz’s Profile PhotoNo one from nowhere
I don't necessarily think it is wrong - it depends on why someone does that. If the intent behind it is to mislead others into thinking that person is you when it isn't then that is wrong.
Btw - If you aren't sure if someone's picture is of them or someone else a reverse image search can often reveal if an image is used under other names.

What is your preferred greeting gesture? Hug, standard handshake, high five or the super secret and complicated handshake?

RidgeBackRogue’s Profile PhotoRidgeBack Rogue
I prefer a hug usually if I know the person well enough although I've not been getting to do that since covid hit! At work handshake was always the norm but since covid that's been replaced by a little nod of acknowledgement.

How's the missus?

She is okay! Thank you for asking. She's made a brilliant recovery after having the strokes at Christmas and is focussing on growing her training and consultancy business. 😊

🔴 What color would you describe yourself as and why? 🔵

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
Probably yellow. Most of the time I am quite easy-going and tend towards being content. I think I associate this with yellow because of my mood tracker where red is feeling low and tending towards crisis, yellow is in the middle and green is really happy.

Hello, I work at an animal shelter and we have lots of expenses. To help with expenses I created a youtube channel with videos recorded there, showing cute and funny situations with our dogs/cats :) Would you mind giving a look and subscribe? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUAV4jE32k2BaO8vngEuyww

Subscribed watched and liked all of your content 😊👍 Lovely to see such happy animals! You might want to make it clearer you are an animal shelter - it will help with the views 😊
If you are interested my wife has a you-tube channel all about being transgender: https://youtube.com/c/RachaelRLE - I appear in one of the videos with her ▶️

What crimes deserve the death penalty?

Difficult one and not an easy one to answer but I will try. I don't believe in any crimes should be punishable by death. I think taking a life is always wrong, regardless of the circumstances or if it is as a punishment.
I also think that people who take the lives of others are often also victims themselves (for example have suffered significant abuse as a child etc). I'm not saying they shouldn't have to take responsibility for their crimes, but that we need to see past what they did and explore why they did it.
Only this way do they get to truly realise and have to live with the consequences of their actions, and society gets to learn more about why some of us kill others and how we can prevent it.

Have you gone through a phase in which you remembered events as they happened from your childhood or teen years for no particular reason?

dodoBluz’s Profile PhotoNo one from nowhere
Not for no particular reason but in therapy I have suddenly remembered things I hadn't thought about in decades. Sometimes my wife and I will talk about childhood stuff and I'll remember something. We talked about toys we most wanted as kids and I remembered really wanting this...

Have you ever done a oil change on your vehicle before yourself? (I did one on my truck yesterday. He sure is happy now. Haha new oil he got to drink. Haha) 😄🛢🚚

Ice_Frozen_Vocals’s Profile PhotoŞωεεT† ɮȩ̷̠̝͙̎̑̆ℓℓล ♡♪
Never! Although I can't drive so my wife does anything to do with the car. I'm hoping to learn soon it is on my goals list ⭐🚘

Do you agree with the saying that a problem shared is a problem halved?

I'm not sure about the proportions but the sentiment I believe is very sound! Although I am studying psychology and counselling so I guess it would be a shock if I didn't think talking helps 😂😋

Do you wash your face every morning?

No! I'm dreadful at taking make-up off at night too! I tend to do face wash or scrub or mask when I go in the bath though so it's not all bad 😂🤷‍♀️

Is it better for someone to have a wide range of superficial knowledge or deep knowledge about a few things?

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
Hmmm 🤔 I'd say for life in general a broader range of knowledge is more advantageous as it means you are likely to be more flexible and adaptable in social situations. However, for certain careers more in depth knowledge is often needed (I'd definitely prefer my Dr to know what they are talking about!). Ideally a combination is better!

What is something extraordinary that you’ve done that nobody else you know has done?

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
Everyone is extraordinary in their own way. In many ways my life is very ordinary but it also is extraordinary!
No-one else I know has quit their job of 10 years to completely retrain in a different area as well as having a mental health crisis and deciding to stay married to their spouse of 8 years who came out as transgender and supporting them to transition.
Yeah, it sounds huge like that but really we all go through huge stuff in our lives and accomplish more that we acknowledge.

Are you the kind of person to give someone a second change? How about a third?

Ice_Frozen_Vocals’s Profile PhotoŞωεεT† ɮȩ̷̠̝͙̎̑̆ℓℓล ♡♪
Yes I do tend to give people a lot of chances. The caveat to that is that they have to want to change and show this in their actions. I am acutely aware of the chances I have been given and how tough it can be to change so that's why I tend to be like this I guess. There are some limits to this though!

A simple question, but how are you doing? How’s this week treating you so far? :)

asgardarts’s Profile PhotoLivi;
I'm doing alright! Struggling with the same old things and getting a bit frustrated with myself but that is normal for me! I have a uni assignment due to stressed over that. It sounds worse than it is, I am managing to bring in self-compassion and self-care where I can 🥰

Is Esperanto language common? Have you met someone who speaks it? Are you interested to learn it as part of the EU?

dodoBluz’s Profile PhotoNo one from nowhere
I've heard of it but to the best of my knowledge I've not met anyone who speaks it. It wouldn't be top of my language-learning list: I'm still trying to master any other language than English!

Who was/is your greatest teacher?

itzmanu_’s Profile PhotoManu
My therapist for sure! I'm fortunate to have had some brilliant teachers in academic subjects over the years and I would say I'm a good student. But my therapist teaches me the hardest stuff, how to find my own answers and find my path and meaning in life. In this subject I would say I am a difficult but willing student!

With Spring approaching soon, what’s your favourite aspect of the season? 🍃 For those in the Southern Hemisphere, what’s your favourite aspect of Autumn? 🍂

asgardarts’s Profile PhotoLivi;
With spring I love the greenery starting to return and the flowers. The sun starts to feel warmer and more welcoming when it shines through the curtains in a morning and I love that. This picture I took a couple of years ago in April when we went to Wales.
