If you were told that an area was dangerous would it your fault if you went there anyway?
Well we have to take responsibility for our own choices for sure, but then again there may be a very good reason to go there or I may dispute your assertion the area is dangerous. We also have to be careful about blaming victims of crime when the fault lies with the perpetrator or wider socio-cultural issues. Either way, the responsibility is not yours if you warned someone and something did happen.
Honestly? My garden gets taken care of about once a year 🤣🤪 We've been trying to finish re-landscaping it for the last four years.. maybe this year is the year!
I love musicals yes! My absolute favourite was Lion King which I saw in the West End in London. I've also seen Oliver, Grease and Hairspray at the theatre but I'd love to see Les Miserables, Matilda and Wicked.
In the show Avatar people have the ability to bend and control one out of four elements: Fire, water, air and earth. Which of those elements do you think you would've wanted to control and why? 🔥🌊🌪☄️
I'd choose water as I've always thought it is a very versatile element. It can change state which is useful and can be very subtle, healing and life giving as well as powerful and strong.
I do shifts which sometimes involve finishing late at 10.30pm and also shifts where I sleep at work and get woken up if there is an emergency. I don't do shifts where I stay awake all night although I do pull all-nighters for uni deadlines often 🤣
Do you mean dinner as in lunch or dinner as in evening meal? I am awful for skipping lunch (years of disordered eating patterns I am working on) but if I do eat it I tend to have it around 1 or 2pm. My evening meal tends to be later on that most around 7 or 8pm on average
I know it can feel like the most amazing thing on the planet but also the most painful. I know love is a force for good in my life. I know people show and receive love in different ways.
I think the rarest type of love is unconditional love. I think the most important is self-love because without it we eventually run out of love to give.
I beleive there could be many dynamics underlying it but in my experience bullies are usually deeply unhappy people that hurt others to fulfil a need they have to feel powerful and in control. This need I think may come from being hurt themselves. Their behavior could be an attempt to make sure they are not a victim, but in doing so their fear causes them to become the perpetrator.
How can you still trust people if you are into true crime documentaries ?
By reminding yourself that what you are watching, although horrific, is actually - thankfully - incredibly rare. I do think though that some degree of caution before trusting someone is really very sensible!
Is it revisionist history if in a movie set in a past century people of color are not portrayed as racially discriminated?
I actually think it is if the movie is clearly meant to be historically accurate and we know discrimination did occur but it is diliberatly not represented. It's a difficult one as representing history accurately can mean preventing some people from playing certain roles based on skin colour and this also seems unfair. I'd be interested in hearing views from the affected groups of people on this 🤔
