The famous saying, “what doesn't kill you makes you stronger,” is so universally accepted that it is used in everyday conversations and popular songs. But a new study finds the truism is actually false. According to researchers, past stressful experiences do not create resilience to future trauma
If they overcome the experiences, yes, otherwise nope. Because they will be stuck in the past, making mistakes or struggling to be social, to make friends etc due to their trauma. 🙃
Typically they allow one to see things in a different light. I’ve become more aware of my flaws and others as a result of my trauma. I’ve found I became more forgiving lately.
