Every time I unscrew my puffin 2, the smoothness goes away. It needs to be retuned every time. Is this normal?
That's definitely not normal, but without seeing it I can't tell what the problem could be. Also, in the interest of full disclosure, I've never once attempted to "tune" a return top in 20 years of being a return top player. Generally speaking, if I took something apart and put it back together and it works differently, especially worse, I always just assumed that I put it back together wrong and would take it apart and do it again. I've also been finding lately that some bearings introduce a lot of variables to our return tops, and you can take it apart & put it together several times and each time the bearing will settle a little differently which will affect the play. My solution to this has been to throw away all flat bearings and only use CTX or gold bearings, which have a much higher tolerances and seem to fit tighter. -Steve
Do remember the last time you guys ran a berryberry avalanche? I'm curious how old mine is
Yikes, that was probably a while ago. I'm guessing it's one of the earlier runs, since I don't think we've even run that color on anything in a few years. -Steve
I've had a few angry emails from people who say that I'm not allowed to say anything about Canada because I'm not Canadian and "don't understand their culture". But I've never claimed to be Canadian, or to know anything about Canadian culture, and have really just made a couple of silly jokes about syrup as a way of making fun of the fact that I'm very clearly not Canadian. Sorry if I bugged anyone with that.I've always enjoyed my visits to Canada, and what little I know about the place makes me really like it. I'm a huge fan of poutine. I will argue the superiority of Canadian syrup vs Ohio syrup, however. But you have free health care, which is amazing, and Montreal which isn't so amazing (big ups to the two guys in Montreal who tried to beat me up for not speaking French, suck it hosers) and you created Chris who is one of my best friends ever and Toronto has Glory Hole Donuts which is just beyond fantastic. So, I'm a fan of Canada. I like it up there. Looking forward to my trip to Edmonton in April, when Chris and I are going to have a crazy 3-day planning meeting for CLYW for the year!!So, to answer your not-really-a-question: Yes, Canada.-Steve
So awesome to see the bay area comrades vid! I live in the bay area. Good to know that people yoyo in the bay area. I thought that Jensen didn't live in the bay area, and lived in Canada. Is Jensen or Earnest a 49ers fan?
Jensen was just in town with Charles for the Bay Area Classic yoyo contest...he doesn't live there. But there are a ton of players in the area! No idea what kind of sports ball teams those guys like. -Steve
Just watched the interview. It was a great movie but there was no signs if Harrison. I paused at all the scenes with kids in them and saw no Harrison. It was a pretty big dissappointment. I was really excited to see him. Do you know what happened?
No idea...I bought it on YouTube but haven't watched it yet. Not at all uncommon for a LOT of footage to end up cut out of a movie, though. :( -Steve
if a yeti and a sasquatch got into a fight, who would win?
Depends on which yeti, and which sasquatch. For example, my cousin Marvin is a yeti but couldn't fight his way out of a wet Tim Horton's bag, while my uncle Andrew is a sasquatch and used to do full-body waxes so he could enter ultimate fighting competitions undetected. -Yeti
Merry Christmas(or whatever you celebrate)! Just wondering, what is the order of releases to come?
Thanks, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you too!I think the next two releases will be solid color Sasquatches, as well as the Advance Scout. -Steve
Was Chase Hadden on the team? And did he leave ti take music on as a profession?
Yes he was, and he was kicked off the team for scamming people on BST forums and just generally being awful. We have no idea what he's doing now. -Steve
which CLYW product has earned the most contest wins? i want to make sure im gettig the right one for chrismast..
Well that's a slightly weird way to determine the right yoyo for you, but I would say the Arctic Circle 2. Zach has been tearing it up like a cookie monster with that thing. - Charles
