if the bonfire outpreforms the chief, why would one buy the chief?

Because not everyone buys return tops in the hopes of finding the "best performance". Some people are competitors, sure, and they want the top performance out of their return tops but other people just want something that feels awesome. We've always tried really hard to strike a balance between competition and casual and offer something for both. -Steve

I know that I doesn't have to change the bearing but when I have to clean it??

You don't really have to do anything to it until it stop spinning or starts making crunchy noises. Best thing you can do for your bearings is leave them alone. -Steve

why is the yeti being discontinued? are you guys working on another plastic?

Yup. There are some design problems with the Yeti that really need to be solved. We're going to talk to our plastics folks and see if it can be redesigned or if we need to start over from scratch. If the Yeti continues, it will be a vastly different return top. -Steve

What is different between the 7 Summits and a normal one? Something with metal used?

The 7 Summits is made of 7075 aluminum, and the weight distribution is slightly different. -Steve

It really is a breaking news to me to know Charles and Jensen leaving CLYW. No disrespect intended, but would that in any way affect the company's ongoing projects and directions? (It's a sad news to hear but good luck to Charles and Jensen :))

It's definitely going to leave a hole. But we have lost team members before at crucial times, so I am not too worried. At this point I think it opens up an opportunity for some of our other team members to be more in the spotlight. A lot are already working hard. So I'm excited! I think we'll be okay. We just may need to find someone to help out with video. -Chris

Now that Jensen's gone, what's the future of the Wooly 2?

We'll be retiring it as an official CLYW model. Not sure what Jensen has planned for it though. We haven't discussed yet. -Chris

Chris when yoyoing is it bad to incorperate part of someone elses move into your trick?

A lot of people have different philosophies on this. IMO it's just fun to be able to do someone else's trick. But try to make it yours. Put your own twist on it. Add a different element or move your arms in a different way. Some people get known for just being copy cats and can ruin a reputation, but like we all do it just don't call it your trick though. -Chris

What would be the best way for me (a 14 year old boy) can make money in some part of the yoyoing world?

Listen to Gary Vaynerchuk and learn how to hustle. It's very very very hard to make money in this industry and if that is your end goal it's not gonna be authentic. Focus on adding value. Give away everything you do. Build a following. Then find a way to monazite it. Or start a yoyo store in Canada. -Chris
