How come you use the term "return tops" when you're company abbreviation is " Caribou Lodge Yoyo Works"?

The company name is CLYW, or Caribou Lodge. The "YW" stands for "YOU WISH you were as pretty as we are".
We use the term return tops because a company called Papa Toys has a trademark on the term "yoyo" in Canada and they are the only ones allowed to use it in commerce.
We use the term "Canuck Twirlers" because it's friggin' AWESOME.
Sometimes, when he's alone, Chris rubs them on his body and calls them "my Precious".

If clyw grows large enough in popularity, would it be feasible to see price drops one day in the future?:I know your throws are worth it, but not when I'm skipping meals and rent!

We're working on a lot of different ideas on how to grow the brand...coming out with new products that are a little more affordable is on our list, but finding a way to offer lower prices and the same brand experience is pretty tough.
It's something we're working on for sure, but we definitely aren't there yet.

Pretty sure I got a puffin today for Christmas but I don't know how I'm going to wait that long

Yay! But yeah, that's a long wait. Oof.

It doesn't wash off at all... Must be stained or ano flaw or something. :-(. The online store I bought it from says in their return policy that I need to contact you directly about it. Looks like they don't give a darn about my misfortune. :-(

It's still Chris' company, and he is the one who guides the ship, sets the tone for everything, and generally oversees the operation.

I just got my Arctic circle in the post, and I opened it and can see some dull looking dirt stuff on the rims... Is this common?

Nope, haven't seen that. Is it just dust, or is it actually in the anodizing?
If it's just dust....well, just wipe it off. If it's in the ano, please contact the store you bought it from and they'll take care of you. Sorry about that!

"And we'll make sure to run more of them on the next batch of Puffins."?? Sounds like a good solution, except it is months and months before there is another run of Puffins. Could you have eithe noted that the new "MAIDERAID" would only be available at Nationals, or asked retailers to hold some?

We didn't expect retailers to bring all their stock to Nationals, so it wasn't anything we thought we needed to specify.
We didn't expect it to be so crazy popular...we'll plan better next time. :)

Disappointed no retailers sold maiderade when it was hyped so hard

I talked to Maider tonight about it...he's open to running that colorway on some other models of return tops to make it easier for people to get. And we'll make sure to run more of them on the next batch of Puffins.

Do you fear clyw getting too big? There is a very intimate feeling that I feel could be lost if clyw got to bigger then YYF size (no hate). I feel like this awesome service, the 3 or 4 employees, and the 'pretty much every clyw was played or touched by yeti, Chris, you, or chuck' would be lost.

There's a lot you can do with a small company, if you pay attention and work hard.
CLYW is going to grow, no doubt about that, but we're going to make sure that it never grows beyond what it should be: a return top company run by and for players.

Do you ever get sticky hands/sweaty or cold hands that make it rough to do yoyo tricks? If so how can I avoid it? My hands get the feeling of clumsy and it feels like the string just wants to stick to my hands. The feeling when you can't really feel your hands and fingers.

Try spraying your hands with compressed air. Some players also use aerosol anti-perspirant.

What month do you think the next run of bonfire's is coming out?

They're being assembled now, so it's possible they might squeak out at the end of this month...more likely that we'll see them very beginning of November, though.

Big bummer to have the Maiderade colorway talked up so much then have YYBB and YYE release 0 of them through their online stores...

Yeah, looks like they sold out of them at Nationals. We didn't expect they would sell through all of theirs in person at the contest and not save any for online sales. Yikes.
Next time we'll just have to make a lot more!

Do all of the Petr Kavka Chief's have the Whale on the box? And is there another colorway that looks similar?

Yeah, pretty sure they were all stamped with the whale.
