Which up and coming yoyo/RT company are you "skerred" of or maybe just excited to see how they develop?
We aren't scared of any other return top companies because...well, what we are doing doesn't really rely on them. We take care of our fans, put out the best products we possibly can, and leave all the "this company vs that company" stuff to the message boards. With the exception of a couple companies that have made efforts to straight up knock us off, we don't have a problem with anyone. And even with the knock-off companies, they aren't even close to doing what we're doing so we aren't too worried. ;)
Everyone always asks "what yoyo will the next run be"
I think I'm onto you guys... After running all the ask fm answers through a complex algorithm... I have concluded that it will be a... Return top.
I know, this is some James Bond level spying...
When installing a CTX bearing in my return top, should I be pushing the bearing into the seating in one of the halves (am I listening for it to snap into place or something?), or do I rely on tightening the return top to properly seat the bearing? Can't find a decent YouTube demonstration : /
Put in the bearing, make sure it's seated properly, and then screw the halves together. You're overthinking this a bit. Relax, there's not a lot that can happen in there. Just put in the bearing, screw the return top together, and throw!
The Avalanche and the Sasquatch look very similar. In what ways do they play differently?
They are very similar, and were meant to be sort of companion pieces. The Avalanche is designed to move a little faster, and bit a hair more nimble on the string, while the Sasquatch was intended to move a little slower but spin and hold spin longer. The Avalanche body design is also a bit more "standard", while the Sasquatch is a sharper profile and carries more weight in the rims. The differences are subtle, but players can really tell a difference.
So why do the new versions of the same colorway have more splash (it is quite evident in the new series of mischief chiefs)? Has the company doing the anodizing changed?
We've gone through several anodizers in the history of CLYW...plus the designs have evolved over time.
