thaaaan k you?????
i haven't seen it yet! i probably won't be able to see it in theatres bc i can't afford to, but i'm REALLY EXCITED to see it at some point
honestly i have mixed feelings about it! while i really like that they tried to make it more like CLAMP's style, CLAMP's art doesn't always translate well into animation. it can be very hit or miss. sometimes it looks beautiful, like Cardcaptor Sakura, or it can be heinous like Code Geass. However, I think where the new animation team went wrong with the Sailor Moon reboot, is that they failed to capture the soft dreamy, ethereal aspect of the manga. everything is too sharp, too shiny, too New, where the manga/original anime was very hazy and glowy. I would have liked to see a different color scheme, maybe, or just softer lines.
lmfao i'm on twitter all day every day! i moved to a different account like a year ago. i'm at
@baraprlncess, but i mostly tweet about anime/manga (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure).
yes sir!
OMG THANK YOU FINGERS CROSSED AHHHHHHHHH
i just have to market it to the right magazine but i'm gonna talk to my professor about it first
yes for some reason idk
i've been saying this for like 4 years but my #1 favourite kpop song is and always will be Tonight by DBSK. that has never changed and i don't think it ever will. their vocal power, range and harmony was one of the things that got me seriously interested in korean music to begin with, even though that song came out before my time and i didn't get into kpop until 2009, after they'd split up.

an honourable mention is actually You Deserve Better by Verbal Jint for the sole reason that i've been listening to it monthly for like 2 years and i'm still not over it.

but there are tons of kpop songs i like so i have to be wary when choosing a definitive "favourite"
actually, it's an advanced fiction writing class! i'm in the top 2 of my class, actually. i currently have 100% as far as grades go and the second story i wrote for the class i'm trying to get published in a literary magazine.
i've been re-reading Angel Sanctuary by Kaori Yuki (pretty much my favourite manga series). its been a few years. i really love it! the art style is incredible (bc kaori yuki, come on now, she's flawless). The plot is really deep and well-written and diverse. genderqueer characters, openly gay characters, trans characters, PoCs, strong female heroines (actually Alexiel is the bEST heroine in manga uGH i adore her), effectively executed biblical themes, GURO AND BODY HORROR! and all the male characters are androgynous. it's perfect.
i want to re-read Sailor Moon bc its been a decade since i've read the manga (although i re-watched the anime 2 years ago). that's next on the list!
i'm actually only actively watching one anime at the moment and it's Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and oh my god let me tell you about this process for me
i found out about this series in 2010 when i was dating my ex gf who liked it a lot but we never watched it together idk we were watching a ton of other anime so we just never got around to it. but since then, i think since the 2012 animated version of the first 2 manga arcs(?), its gained MASSIVE WESTERN POPULARITY and i started seeing fanart for it everywhere
let me tell you straight up this fandom has some of the best fanart literally ever. practically every bara artist i know of draws porn for this series. also a lot of Japanese grafitti artists draw for it, bc the anime's art style is extremely saturated and vibrant. the coloring is gorgeous. so the fanart and bara-ness of the characters were a huge incentive tbh i'm not ashamed to admit that. also, i really want to play the fighting games that are on the market for this series. i downloaded a demo of the first JJBA fighting game on the PSN like 3 months ago and it was really fun.
having watched about 7 episodes and read the first two manga arcs, let me tell you, this is a hit or miss series for most people -- and understandably. you either love it to death or you hate it. it's EXTREMELY campy and over-the-top. there is a TON of homoerotic subtext. the anatomy is beyond questionable. the SFX are composed of mostly sparkles and rainbows. there are plotlines that make absolutely no sense. it's honestly more campy/flamboyant/ridiculous than DBZ. but i don't take it seriously. i watch it because it's fun and hilarious and the art style is right up my alley.

make sure that the one you're torrenting has a lot of seeders. the more seeders, the more popular it is, so it's less likely to give you a virus. reading comments helps, bc people who comment usually review the quality and sound and stuff. also make sure you stop seeding it once it's done downloading so Big Brother can't track you.
if you don't know how to torrent or you're uncomfortable doing so, you could probably find it online. i torrent almost everything i watch though so i'm not well versed in stream sites, sorry :<

uhhhhh i "like" Eminem in the sense that i attribute certain parts of my childhood to him and a lot of his older work has nostalgic value (like Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers) but that's literally it. i don't like anything he's put out after Encore and i don't care for him as a person at all, because he is fucking despicable. he's a rapist and a sexist and a homophobe and a bigot and an abuser -- all of which he is variably open about.
Actually, I regularly use Eminem as an example of abusing creative license. i could go into more detail about this but it's really lengthy and off topic.
the end point is that yes i think everyone would agree that Eminem is sexist and homophobic and a myriad of other horrible things because he doesn't try to hide it at all? like, everyone knows that. especially if you were around during the 90's - early 2000's bc he was in every tabloid for abusing women. for years on end it was all you heard about.
