- the last installment was going to be sungyeol's, going full-circle to myungsoo's narrative and providing a counterpoint to it. while myungsoo slowly changes to adapt to the new environment, thanks to sungyeol, sungyeol (while more inherently flexible a personality) remains relatively static in mindset and ends up also facing a similar dilemma: the need to change, and the resistance to it.

- woohyun's was also going to reference sunggyu's and was basically going to be "kit likes math theory, the story" LMFAO... you know how sometimes you read a writer and it's like "wow this is clearly their ode to [X subject they really like]?" like how when you read murakami and it's like "oh yeah, this guy really loves jazz and might have an ear fetish". that was going to be me with woohyun's part except math theory and i was going to shamelessly jam it full of stuff number stuff i randomly find interesting, like the "there are the same number of primes and non-primes in existence" thing in sunggyu's part.

oh lord, anon, i had to go back and reread my own fic because at this point, it's been so long i don't even remember writing it! (it was one of my first fics iirc.) i sure hope this is what past me was thinking when i wrote it.

the general conceit of the fic is that:

- humans begin to exert a warping effect on time-space. basically, something about the human soul causes time and space to work strangely
- i.e. sometimes time loops or doesn't move at the same speed for some people or objects existing in multiple forms
- i knew little about scifi when i wrote that fic and still know very little scifi so i can say that i relied on some majorly bullshit science that was probably not meant to make sense ;__;
- it's left ambiguous why this occurred but i think i meant to imply that it was because of ~human folly~ or something along those lines
- cities are particularly hard-hit by this due to their high population density and it causes major accidents resulting in widespread loss of life and functionality
- this causes governments to aggressively monitor population density - controlling where people can live, the birth rate, etc. to the point where it is essentially a dystopic system
- destruction resolution and ship of theseus take place after the initial catastrophe
