Its not a secret that key club is clique-y. As a new member or a returning member who does not have a footing in key yet, do you think that the "exclusiveness" image of key discourages the idea of inclusiveness and caring, 2 of our ideals that we swear on as active key clubbers.
I used to be like you. I was a returning member and I was never really a part of Key Club. I only joined it because it gave me a ride to Six Flag, but that didn't mean I didn't enjoy being a part of Key Club. I wanted to be something more in my club, so I applied for the Main Spirit Coordinator job because I wanted to be more involved in Key Club and got it. And you know what? They accepted me with open arms. The Key Clubbers that are truly passionate in what they do and follow the ideals that they have set out have absolutely no problem accepting you. I literally came out of no where, had NO clue what Key Club was about, applied for this position, and got the job. Now, I'm recognized in the division, and my love for and knowledge about Key Club has sky rocketed. If you feel like you are being excluded, just know that your school officers are REQUIRED to know that they are there to serve YOU because members are our top priority.
