What would you do if you were doing liberty with an unwilling horse? Or a horse that wanted to challenge you as leader?
Depends on what the horse was doing, what kind of horse it was, what kind of environment we are in etc.... I can't know what to do with a horse without knowing the horse
I board at Anna steins place, which is really close to yours, and I was just wondering if you ever gave like ground lessons to people or like liberty lessons? cuz I would love to learn some liberty and i think my horse would really love it! not to mention she needs some more ground manners😂😂😂
Yes in fact, I do teach liberty lessons 😊 I can only do weekends though!
How did you decide that you were officially going to be a vaulter ?
Did you self teach yourself ?
Did you always do at home practise of stretches and flexibility ?
First of all thank you for doing this and I apologise if my question has been asked before.. What books and other educational sources would you recommend for people who are just starting out with Liberty and free riding? How did you start out?
Umm I'm not sure I didn't really read any books I just kinda tried stuff 😊
can you do cartwheels and what other gymnastic moves can you do?
Yes 😂 right now im working my round off back handspring back tucks on the floor and layouts on the trampolines
No haha the horse that rears lazy is different from the one who dosnt yield there haunches :) but what do I do for the lazy rearing horse? She yields amazing but her rears kill me 😂🔫
Its the same concept as trying to teach the other one to yield their haunches. Reward one tint effort at a time (even if the effort is really tiny😉😂) lets say you ask her to rear and its a tiny bit more energetic or better than usual then try to reward that. Your timing has to get better and you have to learn to catch when things improve even just a little bit!
