Where can I buy a Complete Demos CD? I can't find one anywhere online.

You cannot buy a new Complete Demos CD anywhere, unless you see one on eBay (which I don't) or a retail store that sells used CDs. You might, however, be able to find digital copies in the ether of the net.

Hi On my birthday i wanted to buy Good&Evil on iTunes. But i cant find it, i also heard its not on Spotify. Any ideas why its been removed? I remember seeing it on iTunes a month or two back

Word on the street is it will be back. Someone forgot to pay the bill or there was some little mix-up. Might take a little time to get back, though.

what's the meaning of taken for a ride?

The songwriters of Tally Hall tend to not ever talk about what the songs are about. They, like all good songwriters, prefer to leave it open to the interpretation of the listeners. The Tally Hallmanac is a great place to discuss potential song meanings.
What I'm trying to say is... I don't know. I really don't know what most of their songs are about except for a couple.

how are you affiliated with the band?

I am their son.
We are all their sons -- and daughters.
But really, I'm just a fan who's been adamant on recording the history of the band, which then gained me a relatively close yet distant friendship with them.

what do you think the chances are of Tally Hall having a little reunion tour?

Y'know, I usually have some sort of opinion on these things. But... I really don't know at this point. At first I was going to say it's more likely we'd get an album than a small tour. But, I suppose maybe a more accurate answer is that they're both equal in terms of "the chances". However, the chances still remain slim.

i was looking at tally hall's broad jam page, and i found a picture of all the gang, but there was one more; someone with a x for an eye and a white bow tie. do you know who it is? \http://www.broadjam.com/artists/photos.php?artistID=14625

I remember asking once in an email back in '05 but never got a response. So I'll give you what I've always suspected it to be: Nonsense. Or, in some other versions, there was no X on the face and I always interpreted it as the audience, for some reason. There's no logic to that interpretation, it's just my own personal one. There was also the half-conceived notion that it represented the Anti-Tally. I don't know what that would entail. But there ya go.

Where can I get one of the t-shirts that went out of print?

There's nowhere that sells any official merchandise that has gone out of print. You can hope for something to pop up on ebay, or search for counterfeits on cafepress & zazzle. I have a few original designs up on the HITS Schwag Shop if you're just looking to represent Tally Hall in some way: http://www.cafepress.com/hiddeninthesand

I was listening to the album Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, and after the last track on it ("Ruler of Everything"), "Hidden in the Sand" started playing! But it never said it was part of the album on the case. Do you know if this was on purpose or a typo/accident?

"Hidden In The Sand" was a hidden track on both Complete Demos and all versions of MMMM. Are hidden tracks not a thing anymore that people are familiar with? Oh god, has the digital music age killed them off?! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hidden_track

In your opinion, what's the best part of the Tally Hall fan community?

This has been pretty tough to answer. There's been so many great moments that I, personally, have treasured which came from being a part of the community. But I guess what's best is that -- for the most part -- there remained such a comradery and tightness within it. When the forums were active, we could all delight and share in each other's enthusiasm, actively inviting others to come and share as well.
Now, since the forums (and band) aren't active, that "community" is not as visible as a single entity -- and there's not been much of a need to be active together in that way. But there's been so many friendships that were spawned which continue today and every day, many of which are "IRL" friendships, too.
It'll be interesting to see what happens if/when the band becomes active again. In the meantime, I'm just doing my part in trying to keep everyone connected and informed, for if/when that day comes.
I'm going to cross-post this on HITS Twitter and Facebook where you can feel free to share with me your answer to this question, thus keeping the spirit of our community alive.
