I became choosier about the people I spend time with and become emotionally in...I raised my standards and my self-worth in regards to what/who I let have some of my energy and when..I started making smarter choices for myself, like listening to my intuition instead of what someone is telling me/ giving me ..I'm really good at reading. One of my teachers in her 50s (I think.) once said "I didn't have a good childhood..but I'm having a great one now" and she proceeded to tell us about how she has the financial stability because of her age and career to buy WAY BETTER TOYS like bubble machines just things that kind of soothe that inner child and it makes her better at adulting, this woman is amazing she takes no shit and she's so well-rounded and SO INTELLIGENT and honestly? Goals. I used to say I want to die before I get old but now I have a kid and I think I just want to be alive to teach him resilience and respect and empathy and to support him through everything forever

I do, but then I remember that my self-worth isn't based off of what anyone wants from me or thinks of me and I'm a complete, whole, and happy human all on my own with or without that person. Whoever it may be, I respect myself enough to cut off anyone that keeps me guessing.
