Yamazaki Kento in Your Lie in April, despite being called "overrated actor"/"2.5 dimensional actor", has proved that he nails every role much better than Fukushi Sota.
Sato Takeru's Nanimono basically has great soundtrack (it's Perfume's producer: Nakata Yasutaka who's in charge of OST), and amazing, star-studded "next generation" casts like Suda Masaki and Nikaido Fumi, and the older generation like Yamada Takayuki and Okada Masaki. I'm not going name Arimura Kasumi as amazing but yes, she's a star from next generation (despite dead-fish eyes and her only break-through role is Biri Girl's).
I can tell Shokubutsu Zukan will not as bad as Raintree no Kuni, but I don't know. Both casts have good acting abilities (Takahata Mitsuki myqueen) and I guess they'll land Best Newcomer in next year's Academy Award.
