PS4 or Xbox One? Why?

Where do I begin?
Let's begin with the short answer; Wii U. It has better games. The Wii U sold bad because it was poorly marketed and presented to customers, and had very very little 3rd party support. But that doesn't mean there aren't great 1st party Nintendo games for Wii U.
With that out of the way, let's talk about why this question doesn't matter. The question shouldn't be "PS4 or Xbox One?". It should be "PlayStation or Xbox?" Because the old model of dedicated console gaming is over. The native hardware is almost the least important factor in which console you prefer. Now it's all about the services and brand behind it rather than the hardware. Partly because both consoles are so similar anyway. They're both "DRM PCs from 2009" as I've heard it put. Both are almost the same machine, just a few minor differences, but at the end of the day they're both X86 based outdated PCs with DRM. The big difference is that DRM. PS4 is a PlayStation with PSN, and Xbox One is an Xbox with Xbox Live. At this point, the hardware seems to matter the least. Sure Xbox One is slightly weaker, but they both have largely the same games.
As for what both consoles offer you. PS4 just came out with their PS4 Slim, and only a couple months later came out with the PS4 Pro, making the Slim useless. All it is is replacing the launch PS4 as the "base PS4" going forward.
People were complaining that the Xbox Scorpio comes out just a year after the Xbox One S, but it's way more time than what Sony gave.
And what are you getting with the PS4 Pro anyway? You're getting 4k output, 4k upscaling,
No 4k blu ray player on PS4 Pro. Now I know physical media is becoming outdated, but not having a 4k blu ray drive makes the PS4 feel like an incomplete and not future proof product. Remember how the PS3 had blu ray when it was the new latest and greatest format? They lost that edge by not having a 4k blu ray drive in the PS4 Pro.
Meanwhile the Xbox One S has a 4k blu ray drive, and can play 4k blu ray movies.
And the Xbox Scorpio will likely also have this, on top of native 4k gaming, making any "Xbox is less powerful" arguments irrelevant. Given PS4 Pro aldready does some native 4k, and has impressed people somewhat with visuals already, with an extra year's worth of R&D, I'm actually pretty excited to see how beastly powerful the Xbox Scorpio will be.
Given how rough of a start the Xbox One had, it is catching up exceedingly well.
Xbox went from the most hated console that no one wanted, to now a console that I am more optimistic to see the future of than PlayStation, which is impressive. Whether or not Xbox can catch up in terms of sales, but I think the gap will continue to close, ever so slowly, or quickly, we'll see.
Ultimately this question comes down to brand so it's fruitless. Whatever brand you like best is what you'll choose. And in the end, both are so similar it really doesn't make a difference.

What would be your action plan, if there were no more electricity in the world?

At least I'd still be able to look at, touch, and hold my physical games. Digital would be lost. Even if I can't play either.

What gossip about yourself has made you laugh?

Normally I don't like gossip about me, but in a good mood I can get a chuckle out of it.
