“everyone who knew what it’s like to love so deeply it pierced through their bones and have the knife ripped away from the flesh, knows some scars will never stop hurting nor bleeding. it will be like falling upon night after night without moon and the stars as endings, simply total and final darkness, leaving an open wound. inside it, are regrets, beautiful memories, broken hope, and much, much aching love. it is a scar you should never visit, and it’s the one wound i would never want to heal. why? i suppose it never can, no matter what was said about time and healing. but i also feel i could never let go of the memories, even as i bleed and i breathe, that i should have every part saved within me, from the unsuspecting beginning, to the very stabbing end.”
