The Bible says we must hate fame and fortune. Please change your mind. Hollywood is evil and people who go there will become evil as well. Start by reading Matthew 10:21-42 or Luke 6:26 in the Bible. God bless you brother.
I disagree. My faith is grounded in Jesus' own words in the gospel. You might want to read Luke 14:25-35 and Luke 21:16-19 before you jump to any more conclusions about me. Are you trying to ace a test without studying for it first? I know the Bible very well, friend, and I'm committed to living it out in my daily life as best I can.
Absolutely. Couples who wish to be happy, successful, and complete, in the scope of eternity, must honor God's definition of marriage: one man married to one woman with (or without) children. Those who dishonor and reject God's definition of marriage, like homosexuals do, will be thrown into hell when Jesus Christ returns (if they don't repent in time). But, in light of Luke 21:16-19, I know that most people will attack me for telling them the truth--until Jesus has to be the One to tell it to them at their judgment. That's just the way it is.
Yes. But if the homosexuals truly repent before Jesus returns, they will be forgiven.
God created all of us, with free-will. If I choose to exercise my free-will to engage in homosexual activies (like sodomy), then my choice is evil and God must punish me for it. Originally, there were no homosexuals at all (they didn't show up until after Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit), so God didn't create homosexuals, He created innocent human beings who didn't know what sin was. Your arguement about gays being born that way, is wrong--except that some may have gay tendencies in their genes. But gay tendencies can easily be overcome with the right influences of the right people, they are not "hopelessly gay." In my own life, I openly choose to be straight and I subject myself to persecution (everyday) from multitudes of people who think that I'm the problem. But the problem is homosexuality (and all sins) that are destroying people's lives and turning them away from God.
Why do people like you take everything the Bible (and I) identify as sinful, personally? This is not personal. It never was. The things that lead people to Hell (like homosexuality) are the problem. I truly love and care about the people who are trapped in sin--and I mean ALL sin, not just homosexuality. If you're going to take my words personally, then you missed my whole point. And free-will, freedom of speech and freedom of religion? You're right about that. So choose your destiny and when Jesus Christ returns, He'll send you to your appropriate eternal home. In the meantime, the Bible is like a map that everyone needs to follow so we can find our way.
Let God be my judge, Fouad. You simply don't have enough knowledge about me to pass a fair, legitimate, right judgment on me. Nor do I have enough knowledge to pass one on you. When I oppose homosexuality, I oppose the sin itself (the Bible does too), but neither God nor I want anyone to go to hell. Sometimes your best friends can turn out to be your worst enemies, and vice versa.
God hates homosexuality and gay marriages. No one should ever commit such a serious crime against God, other people, or themselves.
The Bible says to love what is good and hate what is evil. To walk by faith and not by sight. To believe the Truth and reject the lies. To embrace Christianity and reject false religions. You can call me biased. But the entire Bible-believing Christian world rejects Islam.
Salvation. And the privilege of helping Jesus Christ save others.
God loves us. But He hates sin, He hates evil, and He hates the devil who causes people to sin and do those evil things. If God never hates and He loves everything, He cannot be God because God has to punish sin and evil to be a holy, fair, righteous God. How would you feel if a terrorist tortured and killed you or someone you love and God did nothing about it in the name of "love." I don't know about you but I would not be able to respect a God like that. I'm thankful that my God is a God of love AND justice, and not just "love."
Truth without love is too hard. But love without truth is too soft. When people sin (and that includes me), God has to punish us. He does that because He loves us, knowing that if we continue to sin, He will have to send us to hell. He doesn't want to do that to anyone, but He will if He has to because God is holy. His love is holy. We must not use God's love to justify our sins--but rather to repent of them, be saved, and make it to heaven one day.
You're not a true Christian. True Christians trust and obey Romans 1:26 and 1 Timothy 1:9,10 in the Bible. Those verses are crystal clear. God hates homosexuality.
Like I said before, God never created homosexual or bisexual people. He created us as innocent human beings (like Adam and Eve) with free-will. Homosexuals and bisexuals CHOSE to be that way. Therefore, if they don't repent, God has to punish them. For you to say that homosexuals and bisexuals were born that way isn't only sinful, it's a slap in the face to Jesus Christ and His efforts to try to save those people.
Please read Luke 14:25-35 and Luke 21:16-19. If the world doesn't hate us, and the people of false religions don't hate us, we must be doing something wrong. Jesus Himself had to judge the Pharisees because they rejected His message of love. Almost everyone in my life has rejected my love for them so now I have no choice--I have to expose their sins and let them hate me for it.
There are many Bible verses (especially in Romans) that refute your argument. You're trusting unproven scientific theories that can never explain the more important questions such as "Why do homosexuals contract more venereal diseases than straight people?" "Why do some people with the same involuntary chemical imbalances, like identical twins, turn out gay while the others turn out straight?" "Why would God even punish a homosexual if being gay was never his choice?" My argument will always be spiritual, from the Bible, but if a homosexual never chose to be gay (which means God didn't give him free-will), then you are absolutely right and your argument is completely valid. But seriously, you know that God gave us all free-will and even if we have chemical imbalances or "gay tendencies" we have the ability to overcome any temptation we face (with God's help) and live a God-honoring life--and set a good example for others.
By whose authority? Jesus Christ said in the Bible that homosexuals, among all other unrepentant sinners, are destined to hell. And HE is everyone's final judge, so do you really think that unrepentant gay people can escape the punishment of eternal hell? This is not rocket science.
Gay is NOT okay. God's judgment against homosexuality is eternal. If He punished such behavior back in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, He'll do it again. This is not me being cruel and heartless, this is me being honest and concerned for people. Do I have to be like Noah and build an ark to make this clear to you? Back then, God's judgment took the form of a global flood. Now, within the next few years or so, it will take the form of the APOCALYPSE, Armageddon, and the return of Jesus Christ. If I am honest with people, homosexuals will reject Jesus, they will sell their souls to the devil for a cigarette, and they won't know it until after it's too late. So PLEASE repent while there's still time.
It's just as amazing that you're defending me and my service to God. Most people have no use for God or the Bible in their daily lives. At this point in my Christian life, I feel that God needs me to focus on the problem of homosexuality, but there are so many other problems with the world today. I would encourage you to help God (and His people) face these problems without fear--I know you can do it.
Allah would throw me into hell and I would burn in hell for all eternity.
I think so. I believe that world history began with Adam 6000 years ago and that it will end approximately 1000 years after Christ returns. I expect Christ to return within the next 20-30 years, but no one knows the exact day or hour.
Please do a thorough research (your homework) before you assume that I choose to hate and condemn people (Muslims and homosexuals included). I have been trying to tell many people for almost a year now to read ALL the questions and comments on my profile/page, not just bits and pieces of what I've written, before they jump to conclusions about me. I love all people, including my enemies, but I cannot and will not approve of anyone's sins--especially if they refuse to truly repent. That would not be love. "Truth without love is too hard. But love without truth is too soft." Please read all that I've written before you make any further assumptions. I will be praying for you.
You're right when you say there is no proof that God exists. That's why true Christians walk by faith. Faith is the way of humility and courage. Walking by sight, knowledge, and the cold hard facts, is the way of pride and cowardice. Any fool can do it. When Jesus Christ returns He will reward His faithful saints and punish the cowardly nations--permanently. Which side do you want to be on? Because even atheists and agnostics will be forced to know that God exists when Christ returns. I will be praying for you.
In God's eyes, yes. In the eyes of the Church, no.
Yes. In more ways than one.
