It was a lovely day so I went out on my bike. I stopped off at a pub for lunch but I had FOUR punctures, all on the back wheel (the worst one) so I spent most of the time taking the wheel off and fixing those. After the second puncture I thought maybe the inner tube was getting old and deteriorating, so I put a new one in and that got two more. It might be a manufacturing fault, or maybe there is something sharp embedded in the tyre, but I examined it really closely and I can't see anything wrong so maybe I just got really unlucky.

There are only two types of companies. Those that exist to spend money (public services such as police, hospitals, schools, government etc) and those that exist to make money (all the rest). It is the profits from the latter which pay for the former. Profit is not a dirty word, it literally pays for everything else. Companies which sell valentine products or services are just fulfilling a need. Nobody is making you buy that stuff, that's just your willingness (or lack of it) to conform to societal pressures.

Milkshake, smoothie or slush?

Hello. Not seen you on here for a while. Welcome back.
I used to love slush puppies when I was a kid but I've not had one for years. I make my own smoothies sometimes, but I'd choose a milkshake if I was buying one.

Vaping is bad for your health, there is no dispute about that. However, it's probably only 10% as bad as smoking, so if used as a means to quit smoking then they are a great idea. But to start vaping when you don't already smoke? Not a good idea. I see no problem with taxing them as long as the level of tax still makes them cheaper than smoking, else that would be counterproductive.

Tired. I just got home from my third trip into London this week (two gigs and a play) and tomorrow I'll be up late watching the Superbowl, which I think starts at 11.30pm UK time and so probably won't finish until around 3am.

How's the life with you?😊

It seems to be non stop at the moment. I've already been into London twice this week, for a gig and a play, and I'm going to another gig tomorrow. A friend offered me a free gig ticket for tonight but four days in a row is a bit much.

do you use ask on your phone, tablet, or laptop?

Mostly phone, which is necessary because half the functions don't work on the desktop version, but I will sometimes revert to that if I need to type a long answer.

They just get deleted. Or blocked if they make too much of a habit of it.

Today I went to the British museum, the National Gallery, the Lego and M&M shops in Leicester Square and saw the play/comedy Noises Off, with Felicity Kendal. That's a pretty good day, and fairly typical of what I do with my time off.
