What are you grateful for today?

The fact that I am getting closer and more intimate with my family in the city
I should thank grandma from making me help her on some family issues, so I have an excuse to be more in touch with Om and Tante family in Bintaro
I’ve been working too much since last year, and it relieves me that I still have a side in me that still wants to invest my time and energy to improve the quality of relationship in the family ☺️

Can money buy love?

More like,
Can money buy stimulating conversation, about anything from random memes to current politics?
Can money buy the sincere hugs, kisses, or caresses, especially when we really need it?
Can money buy that soothing feeling when our loved ones ask us ‘how was your day?’ after a really, rough one?
Can money buy that safe and secure feeling on our hardest time, just by knowing that we have someone who always get our back?

If you could make anyone in the world fall in love, which two people would you put together?

Can I put myself and my parents here?
Been feeling lately that I’ve taken their love and sacrifices for me for granted too much since I was a kid
I want to relearn to love them; not through a daughter’s perspective, but through a human being’s one
I want to understand more why they did what they did to me in my childhood and teenage phase, and at least give them a glimpse of how much it affects me now
I want to forgive them completely, and be forgiven in return
And hope that we will always be enough for one another

What was the happiest moment of your life?

2014; seeing those teary eyes filled with pride from my pa and ma when I was accepted in Komunikasi UI. Felt like I finally earned something from my 100% effort, not just mere luck or privilege

What makes you lose your temper?

People with little or no consideration towards others, who dont know their boundaries, who take their own feelings too seriously they forget to be rational, who have little or no manner in treating others in smallest way possible, who only focus on their lives without having other perspectives that other kind of lives exist too. Pardon my french but those kind of people disgust me

Who do you respect the most?

People with strong values, and those who concern to one or more things grander than themselves.
I find too many people focusing too much on themselves lately, making them tend to think and act as if the universe revolve around them. It's just, I respect others who know that there are other dimensions in this universe that can be focused on and be made at least a little better with their existence.

If you could learn a new skill today, what would it be?

I wanna learn how to make others smile,
when they are about to cry but they have their guards up.
I wanna learn how to spot a sadness,
when people hide it so deep in their smile and laughter.
I wanna learn how to stand tall and chin up,
when the circumstances push me down on my knees and force me to bleed.
And most of all,
I wanna learn how to grow up to be a person my generation needs whose contributions echo through eternity ,
instead of being a constructed prototype society perceives as a "goal"

People.
Have a convo with me about anything that involves people in it--humanity, social issues, poverty, politic, education, entertainment, history, pop culture, psychology, or else, and I'm pretty sure I can talk hours with you

What do you like best about your hometown?

Its chill and relaxed vibe, its heavenly cheap food, its well-mannered people, its cultural and historical places that blend in perfectly with modern buildings. I grew up in Surabaya but never feel more at home like when I am in Solo. Omg longing for Solo too much lately :"

What is life like on other planets?

Watch Arrival. Arrival is surprisingly very very good. It teaches me about humanity. Peace. Unity. Acceptance as well.
The language Louise learns changes how she thinks. Langueage is our weapon that starts civilization and society that binds us all together. Humans tend to think that time is linear because we speak in audio form. But aliens arent like that. They form sentences in one time as their concept of time is non linear. They dont separate time as past present and future because they experience them all at the same time. And it teaches us humans that even if we have known what happens to us during our lifetime, sometimes what's best we can do is just embrace the moments, and accept. Of course they'll might be joy and sorrow, but that is how life works--experiencing them all in any time they come upon us. Whether we know they will happen sooner or later, our job is just fully accepting and enjoying them as part of our existence as a human.
And often times life is not as complicated as we might think. It is surely not about who is the strongest or most powerful. We just happen to be in this universe to live side by side with another creatures in our lifetime.

What are you most excited about right now?

My current life as a 7-to-7 corp slave. I am having my internship in a mining company, I stay only 1 km away from office so I always come early and go home late just to spend as much time as I can with the people in my floor, I am working on projects that force me to stretch my skill and comfort zone, my big boss is very nice yet demanding at the same time it drives me crazy, my partner in this internship has very similar way of thinking with mine we can literally talk and laugh about anything, most of people in my office are Javanese so I feel like I am home, and they are very easy to talk to even the big boss and the foreigners I feel like very welcomed to be a part of the big family.
Overall, this moment is literally both one hell and heaven of a ride ❤

Who was the last person you saw?

Today, I was working on a project from my office in FH when a lady old enough to be my mom approached me to borrow my iphone charger and we ended up sit together and talk for about an hour.
She is a housewife, a mother of 3, and an FH alumnus. She looked like a typical Jakartan housewife but turned out we talked about things much, much deeper than that.
She told me how she met his husband, the challenge she faced in marriage and how she raised her kids in this era, how important it is to stick to one's values for one's future, the regret she has from not fully living up to her potential, her opinion towards death and how life is really, really short, and many more.
It sounds like a conversation too deep to have with a stranger, but I am totally grateful because I still have the chance to meet a good one in a very random place and time. A really weird yet satisfying way to end this weekend; I feel like I am recharged ☺️

What is your idea of perfect relaxation?

Recently find my idea of relaxation in learning a song to play with ukulele. it is just soothing to focus on doing something because i simply want to, not because i have to like what i do on weekdays.

Do you listen to your parents’ advice?

the main one: always practice my instinct and listen to it before my brain. 99.99% works in almost every situation for me.

How do you relax at the end of the day?

Currently binge-watching Jessica & Krystal reality show on youtube and looooveeee it ❤️ i feel like i can relate a lot to this show bcs i also had a younger sister that i have weird interaction with lols

What is your favorite type of sushi?

Funny that i enjoy eating sushi a lot but i never really pay attention to the ingredients in it. I just eat what looks good in the menu LOL. But i just came to realize yesterday when i had a birthday dinner with my closest friends in a sushi restaurant why i really, really enjoy eating sushi esp. with my closest ones.
I guess it is just because eating sushi enables us to share in one another's plates and somehow it makes me feel easier to open up and talk with whoever i eat with. And it feels better than when each person has their own plates and eats what each orders. #themoreiknow
