Ask @jorgeryanross:

And they also need to accept that some characters will be straight. "Now being gay is acceptable, so making him gay" is being in the other side of the problem. We're talking about accepting the other person's sexual orientation. I hate labels too but i need to use them so people will understand me.

Cry Baby
I know, it's not like they'll cease to exist anytime soon xD but yeah, people forget that making everybody gay and flaming on the ones who still like to write heterosexual people isn't precisely what this is all about. It's a matter of representation, everybody has de right to feel represented. Has happened with black people, women and sexually diverse minorities. It's good to be taken in consideration, is good to be written as an important character with minority traits, because now minorities are more accepted, but... you know... just as there are gays, bis, ace, pans... there are also heteros. You need to accept them and let them be, too.

Peolple wants people to be gay and that's just the same as people wants people to be straight. We're not learning anything.

Cry Baby
Everybody wants to make this their fight. I mean, I know that sexual diversities defy the still pretty vigent heteronorm and the fact that's been increasingly being more accepted is a huge plus, but that doesn't mean that from now on everyting not-diverse should be frown upon. I mean, people pay TOO MUCH ATTENTION to whatever sexual preferences a character/celeb has instead of just saying "Yay he's gay but he makes pretty darn music" or "Ok, she's bisexual but she's a goddamn awesome Avatar, you go Korra!" (well, in Korra's case it was very well played). I mean, we won't learn anything until people realize that sexual preference isn't what should define a character. The good thing is that we could now have awesome characters who happen to be diverse, like Korra in Avatar as bi, Sherlock as asexual or Cosima in Orphan Black as a darn crazy scientist who just happens to be lesbian; or we'll just end up with a bunch of main characters in media that people will be swooning about because they're oh-so-sexually-cool but besides that, they're as plain as a TV screen.

AND THAT FUCKING GOES TO EVERY SINGLE FANDOM. EVEN MARVEL, GOD. I HATE HOW THEY SAY "STEVE IS BISEXUAL" JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN'T DECIDE IF THEY WANT HIM TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH PEGGY OR BUCKY. WHY DOES TUMBLR HAVE TO RUIN EVERYTHING????!?!?!??!

Cry Baby
Hi, I'm Ryan Ross, and I fucking hate sexual orientation labels just as I hate music taste labels and fandom labels and all that bullshit because fitting in labels is castrative as fuck.
Dicho eso, najada, ¿en serio? BUCKY ERA SU AMIGO DEL ALMA, CON EL QUE SE TRAUMATIZÓ AL SABERLO CAPTURADO POR HYDRA, AL QUE VIO CAERSE DE UN TREN EN MEDIO DE LOS ALPES, QUIEN PROBABLEMENTE MÁS INFLUYÓ EN SU DECISIÓN DE SACRIFICARSE EN EL ÁRTICO, Y QUE LO ENCUENTRES VIVO Y CON EL CEREBRO MÁS LAVADO QUE CAMISETA ESCOLAR TRATANDO DE MATARTE. POR SUPUESTO QUE TE VAS A QUEDAR EN SHOCK Y VAS A BUSCAR COMO AYUDARLO TAN PRONTO COMO SEA POSIBLE.
De verdad, la gente, uugghHHHHH

And i'm talking about the books. He has this beautiful relationship with Watson and he says "i miss you" or similar things because he fUCKING CARES ABOUT WATSON. BECAUSE WHEN YOU HAVE A BEST FRIEND, YOU CARE AND YOU LOVE THEM NOT NECESSARILY IN A ROMANTIC WAY.

Cry Baby

Es sassy and sarcastic and is full of stupid theories about everything and talks like it has a entire dictionary in his brain and throws his "smartness" at me like "i'm smarter, bitch" but at the same time, teaches me stuff and laughs with me. He's annoying af but he's lovely.

Cry Baby
Dude plz just don't. Stop. They are heterosexual (probably asexual in Sherlock's case) life partners. You don't need to be sexually involved with someone to have that deep connection, that makes them interesting.

Cry Baby
