I want to mash my keyboard to up my stream speed but I'm afraid it'll break my keys. Is this some kind of mental block? Should I mash anyway?

That's weird. The harder I press my keys, the slower and more controlled I get. If I want to go faster, I need to lighten up the force I use. Honestly I don't think streaming fast is what ruins a keyboard.

Is it optimal to have you fingers always in contact with the keys while streaming? Meaning you don't leave your fingers away from the key, but just release it so that you can activate it again. (Not sure how to phrase this properly, hope you can understand lol.)

I wouldn't say it's optimal and especially with light linear switches it would be really hard to remain in control on slow streams. I wouldn't hug my keys unless the bpm was so high I simply had no other choice.

What do you think of Beatrice and serea playstyles? Basically they single tap everything except continuous sliders where they alternate. What do you think are the flaws and strengths of this playstyle?

Personally I think singletapping sliders makes 1/4 sliders a lot simpler. So long as you make sure you keep the intervals between the release and the next tap short, it will never offer much of a problem either.
Before that I used to alternate continuous sliders as well and the main strength of this is that the interval between the release and the next tap and the risk of breaking your combo are gone.
The downside of this is that it requires you to alternate quite slowly at times and using 2 fingers complicates rhythm and cursor movement a bit.

I have been wondering for a while .. How to increase my alternate speed ?

Same as when practicing anything you wish to become faster at. Play what is barely too fast until it's almost comfortable, then increase the bpm a little more.

You advise people not to overexert them and take frequent breaks. Does that mean your rise in skill is not proportional to the time you spend playing? i.e. playing 3 hours a day does not mean your improvement is 3x faster than playing 1h a day?

When you practice osu!, your brain will enhance and create new patterns between your brain cells to give a better understanding of what you're doing. Once you fall asleep, the brain will then review and further strengthen these links. This is why you sometimes improve a lot from 1 session to another.
The amount of stimulus in your brain you get from playing is not proportional to the length of exposure and personally I feel I need only about 30 minutes to start this cognitive process. Obviously, with some variation of what you practice, you can allow yourself to improve at several aspects at the same time, which is why I like to recommend people not to forget practicing more than just their favourite fast beatmaps
So long as you make sure you do this every longer session, I'm sure you will become much more versatile and can save you from hitting a huge wall in your skill progression.

after i do stamina practice the next day my fingers feel like shit and i can't stream as fast or as long as i did the day before. do i keep practicing or take a break?

Take a break. If you absolutely have to play, stick to slow maps that increase your skill on other aspects. If you find it too boring, you'll lose your will to play further and problem solved anyway.

Hello kriers! I have a problem with singletapping. I use X (index finger) to singletap, but I can't do it for really long and I have trouble when I have to aim at weird patterns and singletap at the same time (for example,Lesjuh's diff on Talent Shredder.) Any way you could offer some tips?

I hate giving this kind of advice but in this case it's pure practice.

I've been trying to increase my stream stamina lately, but whenever I reach my limit, my hand lifts of sideways, so that the side with my pinky is elevated and I start to hit my keys somewhat with the sides of my fingers, and that just feels wrong. Should I try to focus on pushing my wrist on table?

I don't think taking extra measures to improve your speed is a good idea. Be careful so it won't ruin your control on speeds you already manage.

Why is mouse only more difficult than the other playstyles?

Movement and input on the same hand causes cursor shake and lower aim capabilities on streams and inability to use wrist to increase input speed.

http://ask.fm/kriers/answer/105905912492 all about preference i stream faster with tips than with surface

Are you sure? I flattened my fingers and boosted my streaming capabilities to 290 bpm bursts. Techniques can indeed differ from person to person, but I'm sure flattening the fingers is potentially way faster for many users. This is not really a good idea for accuracy, though.

How do you stream with click/x? o.o My fingers always go at the same time making unpleasant hitsounds.

I have the same problem on higher bpm. It's a respectable skill and requires a lot of practice to gain.

If I want to improve my single tapping speed, should I play short but veru high bpm songs or long but slightly high bpm songs?

Focus on the lowest uncomfortable bpm and build it from there. If you're just, slightly not fast enough for a bpm, you'll get tired way more quickly and it will make your muscles adjust faster. Playing way above your speed level will let you lose the grasp of rhythm and you'll end up just hacking the keyboard with your finger with little progress.

Kriers how can I relearn reading if I played fast songs from being a noob till now, I can aim pretty well but if multiple notes appear on jumps I speed up

Yes you can. When learning how to play osu! you get nothing for free. You do not learn one aspect by practicing another so the only way to get good is to expose yourself of all aspects and suck in the poor results from it. Just revert to the good old nomod and play lower bpm songs. I know it's boring but you don't have to do it a lot every day to gain from it. Also, all your efforts will not make you bad at what you're already good at, and if you choose to focus on filling in the gaps of your skill constructively, you can find yourself able to play fast beatmaps with an accuracy you previously couldn't fathom.
