Do you believe there is good in everyone?
Bad and good are all action based things.
If you want to be good—truly good, you have to behave as a good person does. Until it’s become habitual.
I believe people are complex but that the severity of their actions opinions and feelings are the determining factor of whether that “goodness” really means anything.
adolf hitler had his warm fuzzy side when he spoke to his wife—but then you remember that he orchestrated the eradication and murder of over 6 million people, and suddenly that warm fuzzy side stops mattering.
grandpa might be delightful to you and the rest of your family—but then he screams at a 16 year old cashier and makes her cry over an expired coupon she couldn’t accept.
Sometimes the bad says more about a person, how they treat strangers can be far more telling of *who* they really are. Because they have no reason to be nice to those people, it’ll say more of them if they ACTUALLY are. I hope that makes sense.
