ok can I just say you guys are super duper amazing and nice and awesome and when something goes wrong yall know how to turn it around and yall are extremely understanding and sweet about everything and I'm constantly in awe at how cool yall are I think yall deserve many++ high fives and hugs

When do homecoming court nominations come out and when can we vote?

Voting begins on Thursday (I believe). You can vote at the school store.

no not a sophomore only dance, some people are good friends with other grades, but a winter themed homecoming would be amazing

Do you think you could allow the teachers to access the google calender? I think this could make the system self-sufficient, which would be really awesome

No promises.. but yes, it's going to happen. Absolutely. No promises though.

for the schedules app, could you guys consider adding the ability for the user to add in their own schedule (so instead of seeing "first period" you might see "chemistry")? like allowing us to edit the names of each block? i don't know how hard that would be to add in, just a thought.

It would be tough, but we've thought this idea through. Our ideal scenario would essentially have the app, LASA Classes, and our own Student Council email/roster/calendar tools work together seamlessly.
In short, we would have due dates, schedules, emails, school info and more synced together everywhere. You would only see the due dates you needed because the calendar would be synced with LASA Classes. On the Student Council end, we could send an email only to the people who share a certain due date. These are just two examples of many many many ways a system like this would make things easier.
We're mostly finished getting the individual services running– app, website, calendar, emails, etc. However, combining things like this takes massive amounts of work, and so we'll be piecing the system together very slowly over the next months and years. Once everything is fully integrated you won't even notice because we'll have been adding all the connections one by one for a long time.

once school starts and we all get our teachers, will you guys add the ability to input this information to our schedule on the website?

Yes! We have lots of plans for LASA Classes.

Will there be a chance for us to change our courses? I've realized that I don't want one of the classes I asked for.

I don't know the answer to that.. I would recommend emailing your counsellor.

During the summer, the LASA schedules app is pretty pointless. Is there any chance you could add a countdown until school starts, so I can plan out my days on Netflix accordingly?

That's a good idea! We'll look into setting up some kind of countdown. No promises though.

The SSH port (#22) at lasa2017.com is open. This is considered a security risk unless connections are selectively rejected (connections are accepted from anywhere). Anyone on the internet can access the login prompt; people may be able to brute-force the root password, giving them full control.

You can do whatever you want. I would recommend worrying about things that matter.

Yes, you can use the logo however you'd like. There is no way we could hope to actually enforce the style sheet. It's just a guideline.

How confident are the student council members that they will be successful in their reelection?

We think we are a strong team, and we are prepared to continue leading our class throughout Sophomore year. However, we also encourage you to learn more about all of the candidates and vote based on well-informed opinions.

Is there any way you could make the countdown more epic¿? Like if you could add an hourly countdown or how many blocks are left that would be cool.

Well, it's still the same problem as before except even worse because anyone can see them, not just freshmen.
