How do you treat people in general?

I treat everyone with a basic level of respect, unless they show me that it's undeserved.

Why doesn't anyone like you?

I think some people probably do, but lots of them live far away from me, or we're just not compatible.

How do you control you anger?

Mainly by fantasizing about being able to deal with the issue by means of godly magical powers. Most of the stuff I get angry about is stuff I can't do anything about.

Do you think money can buy happiness? ?

No, but lack of money can definitely cause unhappiness.

What time do you usually go to bed at?

Usually about 1-2 hours later than my bed time the previous day/night.

Who here knows good hiking spots in Victoria?🌲

Mount Manuel Quimper, Shields Lake; lots of good hiking around that area. Access via Harbourview Road in Sooke. Used to hike there a lot before my disability got too bad.

What is your favorite tea?

I have 2 favourites:
Uncle Lee's Plum Tea. Black tea with plum flavour, naturally sweetened with stevia herb. Used to drink it a lot way back, when I lived in Toronto, but since moving to the west coast, I haven't found a place here to buy it. But I recently discovered I can buy it on Amazon, so I've been doing that.
Tanzania Gold, a richly aromatic loose black tea from Silk Road Tea.

What’s the last video you’ve watched on YouTube? What is it about?

It was about what fantasy writers, movies, games, etc. get wrong about medieval weapons. I think the channel was called something like Shadiversity.

What game are you most excited for this year?

Well...Borderlands 3 obviously, except it'll likely be 2-4 years before I actually get to play it. So the games I'm really most excited for this year are the ones that were released a few years ago, and are finally down to around $5-25 on sale, depending on the game. Plus I'm anxiously awaiting good sales on the DLCs and expansions for XCOM 2 and Civilization VI (I've got both base games, but waiting till I get the major expansions and all the DLCs before playing them).

So you do things without considering or caring about the consequences right?

No one can be fully cognizant of the virtually infinite branching chains of probabilities resulting from any given decision or action. Each of us creates an infinity of infinities in our day-to-day lives. No one can predict the butterfly effect, as the saying goes. That said, I almost always consider the possible consequences that I am aware of in making a decision or taking an action. But the most important thing is just to be aware that everything we do does have consequences, both positive and negative. We don't always have any way to control that, though.

What’s the Saddest movie you’ve ever seen??

Not too sure. Some candidates:
Ikiru: An aging bureaucrat learns that he's dying of cancer, and realizes that he's never really lived, or accomplished anything in life, other than doing his job diligently. So he seeks to find a way to give meaning to his life in various ways, but none of them fulfill this need. Finally he decides to get a piece of currently unused land turned into a park and playground for children. And though he succeeds in this mission, after his death, his role in it is downplayed and diminished, his colleagues and family thinking that he didn't know about his cancer because he didn't tell them about it. So in the end, despite his efforts toward the end, he had little to show for his life.
Samurai X: Reflections: This is part of the Rurouni Kenshin series, taking place as a series of flashbacks. Kenshin dies at the end. I don't remember it that well, but here's the Wikipedia page with a good description: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rurouni_Kenshin:_Reflection
I've got The Burmese Harp on DVD, and I'm pretty sure it's sadder than either of those, but I haven't watched it yet.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Burmese_Harp_(1956_film)
Another possible candidate that's in my collection but I haven't watched yet is Battleship Potemkin.

When was the last time you did Easter egg hunting?

Maybe 12 years old. A good 40-ish years ago, anyway.

Please reply this message with a question you want to ask those anon who ask silly questions to you on ask.fm ?

Ok. For the most part I don't really have any questions, but I'd kinda like to know (or maybe I don't want to know) what's with the donkey obsession.

Beer or Sofa

Drinking beer while sitting on a sofa would be the best option. But if I had to choose between one or the other, at any given moment I'd almost always rather have beer than a sofa, especially since there really isn't room for a sofa in my house, unless I get rid of my turntables. And I'd definitely rather have turntables than a sofa.
If it's between beer and soda, on the other hand...well, it would depend both on the quality and the variety. I'd choose a craft soda (like Blue Sky, Phillips, Fentiman's), or an exotic flavour like Grace pineapple soda, over any mainstream major brewery lager, with the possible exception of Sleeman's Honey Brown lager (which is pretty much beer-flavoured soda), but I'd take a premium, craft, or microbrew ale over just about any soda except a decent quality ginger beer (of the non-alcoholic variety). Make the beer ginger-flavoured, and it's no contest.

Would you rather be a teenager or a child again?

A child I think. I want as much opportunity as I can get to relive my life, try different options and choices, etc, and enjoy as much of it as I can before becoming disabled.

What's your favorite seafood?

Hmmm...that's a tough one...there are so many I love, and often in different ways. But I think if I had to pick just one, I'd go with amaebi nigiri.

Art ou musique ?

Music. It's one of the most important things in my life, both my passion and my career.

Do you prefer bicycle or roller skates?

Bicycle. They're far more versatile, useful, and efficient. Plus my balance kinda sucks, so I'd have a tough time on roller skates.

Are you getting weird anon questions?

Almost every question I get is anonymous, as far as I can tell. But I haven't gotten too many really weird ones lately. Lots I don't really have an answer for, though.

If somebody has a big forehead does that mean they have a big brain too?

usually means they have less hair

What should every foreigner know about your country?

Although we're seen by the world as very warm, welcoming, and progressive, we still have our share of problems: our country is built on a foundation of colonialism, imperialism, theft, and genocide; our country is ruled by a capitalist system; we have more than our fair share of xenophobes, racists, fascists, homophobes, transphobes. For many marginalized people, this country is better than many other countries in the world, but that's a really low bar, and in many cases, we barely clear it. Even so, I'm really happy I live here, and I hope that people from other parts of the world will come here and find happiness too.

Someone you wanna meet right now or someone you miss right now?

Well, I just saw that Kevin Balot posted a selfie looking amazing on a beach on Bohol (Island in the Philippines), and I really wish I was there with her. She's so hot, and so cute too.

Do humans have tails?

We have a coccyx, or tailbone, where a tail would connect to our bodies. But since it's not really movable, nor flexible, nor does it have any muscles, it can't really be considered an actual tail. It's a separate body part, yet essential to the function of a tail.

What’s your favourite halo game?

I've never played any of them. They're primarily console games, and I've always been strictly a PC gamer (apart from arcades).

What do u prefer to do when you are all freaked out ? 👻

Take a deep breath then breathe out slowly, and keep repeating that until I calm down.

Would you rather have no internet or no cell phone?

No cell phone. I rarely leave the house anyway, and I rarely use the phone.

How much money do you really need?

Answered this a while back, so copying and pasting my answer with a few additions.
"Need" is pretty relative.I'm currently paying $350 a month rent, utilities included, but if I wasn't able to rent from my parents, I'd have a really difficult time finding a place for less than $1000 a month, probably more like $1200. If I moved to a more remote community, rental costs would decrease, but the cost of everything else would dramatically increase, so it's likely not worth it, to say nothing of the fact that I'd be without necessary assistance. I spend about $300 a month on groceries, and about $200 on miscellaneous expenses. So realistically, about $1700 a month just for basic survival (my current income is about $1100 a month). That's without anything left over for entertainment, or replacing stuff that breaks, or computer upgrades, or music or photography equipment, or emergencies, or anything like that. And that's also without anything to set aside for my RDSP, which will have to sustain me once I reach 65 and no longer qualify for disability benefits.Of course, if I had to, I could survive for a while at least with no money at all. Hunt, fish, farm, and gather wild plants for food. Live in the bush. That'd be really difficult because of my disability, but I've got most of the necessary skills. To be comfortable, and be prepared for emergencies and such, about double that would be good, maybe rounded up to $4k a month. I could live pretty comfortably on that for a while (as long as it's adjusted for inflation), though I'd still have to forgo most of the photography gear I want.On top of that, I have a few lists of high priority and lower priority music and photography gear, that I kinda need, but can get by without. But it would sure be good to have them. As for how much they'd cost:
Photo gear, high priority: $40,700
Photo gear, low priority: $754,600
Music gear, high priority: approx $36,000, but it keeps going up as new gear is released
Music gear, low priority: about $73,000 for the things I actually know the price of, but it includes a lot of vintage gear I don't have prices forAt $100k a year, I could pursue my photography, music, and other careers, and be able to afford gear, without having to worry much about money. I could also make some progress on developing some technologies I want to create, though I'm not sure that'd be enough to create a marketable product, or at least it would be a slow process. To make all the games I want to make, and all the tech products I want to make, I'd have to hire people, and that would get expensive, but hopefully also generate revenue eventually.
I also want to create a disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization, and a couple of medical non-profits, and for those, I need to buy equipment that costs millions of dollars.

who are you when no one's watching?

Pretty much the same, except I have pretty major social anxiety, so I'm able to relax a lot more when I'm not around other people.

What was your first thought when you woke up this morning

I got a new lens recently, a Rokinon 8mm, and I've been wanting to get outside and take a few shots with it to test it, but every day I've been awake during the day lately, it's been raining, while every sunny day we've had lately I've slept through the day. Today I woke up and it was sunny out, and early afternoon, so I was hoping to get up and going fairly quickly so I could do that. But by the time I finished showering and getting dressed, the sun was too low for photography, or at least the kind I wanted to do.

I’m seeing this guy. He texted 5 hours ago but I was busy. Now he sent me a text annoyed saying “don’t bother responding Anna. We both can see this is not for us.....? I like this guy and he’s sending this after not replying? Wtf? What does it mean?

It sucks, but I think he's telling you how he truly feels, and is also projecting that feeling onto you. The fact that you weren't able to respond to his text is probably not the reason, just a pretext, or the straw that broke the camel's back.

Do you talk to yourself?

Not much really, but my brain constantly has random conversations happening with random people, some of them imaginary. But that's not something I intentionally do, nor is it something I have any control over; my brain does it completely independently. Nevertheless, in a way that could be considered talking to myself.

Do you mind if i ask character related questions? I love to ask in depth stuff with u

Ask away. Whether I'll actually be able to answer them may depend a lot on the question, and of course my perception of my own character is probably quite biased.

Things you don't share with anyone ... ?

Passwords, PINs, toothbrushes. I'm squeamish about sharing food and drink too. Also don't like sharing computers or most gear, though I wouldn't mind having a group of people to share lenses with (to split the cost of high-end lenses).

What was the last thing you ate?

Chile con carne biryani. A blend of Mexican and Indian cuisine, with Mexican flavours and Indian (albeit Persian in origin) cooking method.

Should we forgive our enemies? Why/why not?

It's unhealthy for us to carry around hate and grudges against other people. So it's a good idea to forgive, as soon as you're able. But never forget. And forgiveness doesn't mean absolving people of responsibility for their actions, it means not allowing them to occupy your mental real estate.
