How do you define “smart”?

Someone who knows a lot about something (either in general, or about specific subjects/topics), providing their knowledge is correct, and not just opinionated.

Where do you go for advice?

It depends on the type of advice. If I know it's advice that someone in my family can answer, or someone that I know who knows a lot about the subject, I ask them. For everything else, I usually use Google to do my research.

People you may like

Do you prefer to ask questions or answer them?

I prefer answering specific questions. I have a hard time coming up with questions.

How do you prefer to be awakened up in the morning?

Daylight - which doesn't exactly help much in Norway during the wintertime.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how well do you sing?

I believe somewhere around 7 or 8 (assuming 10 is the best), but I don't sing that often in public. I have, however, recorded a few karaoke tracks/videos in the past, and got some decent comments/ratings on those.

Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not?

Yes, definitely. _Mutual_ love at first sight is harder to come across, though (and I still haven't had that happen to me yet...)

Do you push the elevator button more than once? Do you really believe it makes the elevator faster?

Not really. I only push it more than once if there's no indication that I actually pressed it (yes, I believe these elevators do exist out there - for "style" purposes).

What’s the one book you think everyone should be required to read?

Besides the more obvious classic ones, "I, Robot" by Isaac Asimov. It's nothing like the movie with the same name, but it's a collection of short stories that teaches a lesson in what to be aware and wary of when it comes to autonomous technology (artificial intelligence in computers, robots, and soon, cars).

How often do you change your mobile phone?

On average, every 1.5 years or so. I had my previous phone for a little over one year. The phone before that, I had for about 2 years.

You're given one wish...what would it be?

1 billion US dollars (or Euro). That would give financial freedom for myself and my closest family, and also the resources to do a lot of good charity work for causes I believe in.

What famous people do you share a birthday with?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bonnie Wright, Lou Diamond Phillips, Michael Bay, Ed Sheeran, and Michael Jordan, to mention a few.

Hva er du utdannet som?

Ingen formell utdanning etter videregående, det aller meste jeg bruker i jobben min er selvlært.

Hvorfor går du på flere blueman show etter hverandre? Er de ikke like?

Bare nesten like.

What are the three things that you cannot live without?

My family, my glasses (obviously), smartphone. More or less in that order. If another loved one comes into my life, she will push the smartphone off the top 3 list.

Where do you get style inspiration from?

Nobody, really. I basically wear whatever I feel comfortable with, usually casual nerdy style. No inspiration or "fashion" style in particular.

Er det kjekt på blueman?

Ja, Blue Man er veldig kjekt! Jeg har så langt (i skrivende stund) sett dem 43 ganger siden 2008, og flere skal det bli. :-)

Which famous person have you met or been close to?

I've met a few in my time. The ones that really stand out, though:
Chris Wink and Phil Stanton (of Blue Man Group)
Penn Jillette and Teller
Wayne Brady

What is the one thing you always wanted as a kid, but never got?

Super Nintendo (we did rent one a few times from the local video/game rental place, though)

What’s the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to you?

"I had a major crush on you when we were in elementary school together" (of course, she dropped this on me when we were both grown up, and she now had both a husband and children -- I wish I knew back then, though)

If you could have dinner with any political figure, dead or alive, who would you pick?

Barack Obama, I think.

How do you see yourself spending your time in your old age?

Travelling the world, spending time with grandchildren and the love of my life (I don't even have a girlfriend, though, so I better get started).

Have you ever bought something on the internet?

Yep, roughly every month or so. About 90% of the T-shirts I have were bought online.

Is it possible to justify a murder?

Only in immediate self defense, in a specific situation when the choice is between being killed, or killing the person to stop it from happening (right there and then), and only as a last resort. Even then, I'll be very uncomfortable with it. I'm fine with fictional depictions of violence in TV, film and games, though.

If you were granted an autograph from anyone, who would it be?

Jennifer Lawrence, in an intimate location. Then again, I'm not a big fan of autographs (too impersonal). A photo with a celeb is much more personal (and has thankfully no potential resale value).

Who is the cruelest person in history?

Tough call. Most time periods have had cruel people, but I can't pinpoint a single person who was the worst. There are a few select candidates that stick out, though.

What is the least stressful job you can think of?

As I see it, no jobs are completely without stressful times, but I'd say a retail job in any type of specialist shop might have less stress in a regular day.

How often do you listen to the radio? What is your favorite radio station?

Very rarely. I usually go for Spotify for music and podcasts for other radio-type stuff.

How many hours a day do you spend watching TV?

Regular TV? Not much, about 2-3 hours a week. But I spend anywhere from 1 to 3 hours daily on Netflix and other streaming services, though.
