Because the fact that society tried to take something that was used interchangeably since 60s or 80s I think, have now combined them and confused the world/law/meanings. So now we have people who believe they can change their sex with surgery. And many people who confuse sex and gender. It’s all a mess really

Have a debate if you can remain not emotional. Explain to them why you believe it to be problematic, if it is problematic. If it’s just problematic in your opinion, I guess you could still have a discussion with them. Debate, it’s good for the soul.
