a guy went down on one knee inthe local Spoons and asked me to mmarry him
but as I was on my way to the Ladies and he was coming out of the Gents and it was Very late
i declined
but he bought me drink after and now we're friends!

apart from overseeing the sexual revolution in Ireland.....lol
I'm driving to the country to visit my rellis,
they are farmers so I will be out with the animals ,
take the dog for a walk and have a nice dinner
then back home for Sunday
heading into the city centre to start my Christmas shopping and then my housemates and I are going down to the local pub for a few drinks and some craic [ hopefully]
I hope you will have a nice w/end too

As you're on of my UK friends on here you'll know what I'm on about. My friend thinks we shouldn't pay health care in the UK as If you don't use it you shouldn't have to pay for it. Just pay if you need it. I think he's wrong what are you're thoughts on it?

great question,
first thing to say is that there are people who have to use the health service and cannot pay so what would your friend suggest happen to them ?
my own view is that healthcare should be free at the point of entry for all
when we say " free", it is payed for by people through taxes and other levies,
so it is the concept of communality to support ones fellow humans and that has been weaponised by certain political ideologues , for me health, education, all utilities and transport should be in public ownership for the benefits of all citizens not for profiteering and shareholder dividends.

Yes and very underrated,
I heard Mark Lawerenson tell a great story about Bob Paisley signing him, no fuss , he called to Bob's house who was in his dressing gown and slippers and just said "we'll sign you son" lol
even greater than Shanks ??? seriously
Queen of the Toon and King of the Kop all that separates us is about 30+ trophies lol
