I thought you looked real good in that interview pic, but I was a bit too nervous to say that on Twitter. Still, thumbs up.

Thank you! :3

Pretty random question: what are your thoughts on Dangan Ronpa, if you have any/know of it?

Haven't seen the anime or played the game, so I don't know anything about it.

Who would play Ross in the Kit Kat movie and who would direct?

John Waters would direct, and we'd tap Clive Owen to play me when I'm older. He needs to lighten up, anyway.

Cool, do you have a favorite Zeppelin song?

Don't really have a comprehensive knowledge of their career but I've listened to "Whole Lotta Love" and "When the Levee Breaks" a lot. Those are both pretty damn great.

Who is a bigger joke: Coldplay or U2?

Coldplay, because for as much as Bono is up his own butthole, at least he and the rest of that band are talented musicians. Can't say the same for Coldplay, they have a really bad habit of writing the same bland songs over and over again.

Why did you listen to the new Fall Out Boy album?

I'm writing a review of it because I need to write things. Also Fall Out Boy is apparently popular again and I like to know what those damn kids are up to these days.

Do you have a favorite hard rock or metal band?

I don't really listen to a lot of hard rock/metal. Maybe Led Zeppelin?

Are there any movies you've been unable to sit all the way through?

The Dark Knight Rises. Just.......ugh. No.

Do you prefer to use whips, chains, or ball gags to extract information from your enemies?

Ball gags would be kinda counter-productive, wouldn't they? Anyway, probably whips. Can't beat the classics, har har.

I'm the guy who asked the 50 Shades question, and I swear that it sounded better in my head. I asked you because it was something I had felt conflicted about and you were someone I knew who was both feminist and had answered some sex questions earlier. I apologize for being obtuse! <_<;

It's okay. I probably should have been a little less harsh, actually, but I'm just really sick of people using 50 Shades as the one and only example of BDSM in the universe ever just because it's the hot new thing. It's fine that you have questions about stuff you don't get, and I'll try and be a little less quick to pull the trigger next time.

In light of the whole controversy with 50 Shades of Grey, do you think that BDSM erotica, particularly depictions with male doms and female subs, is incompatible with feminism?

??????? I don't even with this question.
If you knew anything at all about BDSM (ACTUAL BDSM, not the disgusting rape bullshit in 50 Shades), you'd know that it's entirely about people creating a safe space where they can indulge a sexual fantasy without anyone having to worry about being hurt or judged. The sub is in control of the scenario and can choose to stop it, slow things down, or intensify it at any time. Whether it's a woman and a man, two men, or two women (or any other combination of number of people/genders), BDSM scenarios create a space outside oppressive gender roles. I think this is actually extremely compatible with sex-positive feminism, and many sex-positive feminists have written about BDSM (like @Jenny_Trout and @FeministaJones) in a positive light. I'm obviously not the most experienced person in this area, so I suggest talking to them if you have any questions, but no, I don't see why one bad example of BDSM that doesn't actually follow the guidelines of a BDSM relationship (no matter how popular) has to render the entire subculture inaccessible to those interested in feminism.

Any new Utena thoughts?

I really love that it's diving right in with the "Don't trust men. Just don't do it" stuff, usually other shows would wait a while to build up to that. Pretty sure that "The End of the World" has something to do with adulthood and isn't really a concrete thing. I really want to know more about Anthy because I just know she isn't simply a damsel in distress, she probably has motivations and unique circumstances of her own.
Also, Nanami is the best. I wanna see more Nanami.

Thoughts on American Psycho?

The movie's a good examination of white male pathology and privilege and is really well-directed. Mary Harron really should have had a longer, more fruitful career.
