Landed back in Cali today and the first thing we did was go check on baby ❤️

As some of you know, Laura was high risk with Ceci girl and had to be induced a little early because of complications in the past. Since her pregnancy and birth went well with her, she isn't quite high risk with this pregnancy but we're all still being cautious this time around! We talked to the doctor today and the plan is to just let baby come when baby wants to come and not induce early since there's nothing that seems to be wrong which is the best news we could've gotten. With that being said, we're on track for an August baby unless baby decides to come early or anything with Laura's pregnancy changes ❤️ I was 10000% convinced we'd have to induce early but I'm happy we don't have to. I'm happy to know both my beautiful wife and our sweet baby are healthy and as perfect as can be ❤️

Also, no, we haven’t told anyone the gender hahaha I don't think we will at this point honestly until baby's born. I mean we've known for 12 weeks now and we only have 16 to go so ;) our family has even stopped asking when we’re going to tell them hahaha. Cayden doesn't know either and he's been dying to find out so we'll probably tell him when it gets closer so he doesn't tell anyone, but it's nice having a little secret to ourselves ;)

This one hurts like no other. I landed in Pittsburg yesterday and got so many missed calls and messages about my friend Chance. Chance and I acted in CAOS together for the four years we worked on that show. Chance was the kind of person you could go to about everything. He always had a smile on his face. He was so enthusiastic about his life and the things he wanted to accomplish. He was always showing up to set with breakfast and coffee for everyone. He was always down to come hang out afterwards and just talk about life. I was going through a little rough patch during the time of us filming, but he always was just there and always showed up. Anyways, Chance passed away yesterday after a bad motorcycle accident. His light will always continue throughout my own life, and throughout the lives of those who loved him. Keep his family in your thoughts through this difficult time. I love you brother.

I find it funny we still haven’t told anyone the gender. We’ve joked around that we’re just going to keep baby’s gender to ourselves until they’re born. Which in hindsight wouldn’t be too far off, we love having this little secret to ourselves. It honestly makes it feel more special, and with this more than likely being our last, it’s nice to be able to have something kept to ourselves. I think that’s partially the reason why we’re hesitant to share with friends and family, but also we haven’t felt the need to and it quite honestly just isn’t the top priority. We have a healthy, growing baby and that’s all that matters most ❤️ we’re so close, yet so far to being able to have them with us, but I know time is only going to go by even quicker ❤️

We got up and Cayden was so excited to get “sissy’s dress” for her to put on because he knew she’d be so beautiful in it. And she sure is! I can’t believe our Ceci girl is already one. This past year has been an absolute dream. I can’t wait to watch her become a big sister this year though ❤️

Mama, daddy, your brother, and baby love you so much Cecilia Marie. I’m so proud and so happy to be your dad. You’ve taught me so much in just a year and I’m so forever grateful for that. I’ve absolutely loved watching you grow from being a newborn to now being a toddler almost. It’s crazy how fast time goes on when watching your own kids grow up. I wish I could slow down the time but I know every moment just keeps getting better and better.
