What do American women love most about American men?

I can't speak for every American woman and I don't know every American man.
Everyone has different likes and dislikes.
I like my boyfriend and that's it, but it has nothing to do with the fact that he's American.

Question 2: Name something unusual/unique about yourself. (If you have nothing to answer this question with, please delete/ignore it. I don't want to read "Idk/I don't know/" over and over again. Thanks.)

I'm a girl in a fraternity (I mean, I'm not the only one, but it usually confuses people when they hear it)

Question 1: How do you react/respond when someone criticizes you? Do you just brush it off or do you take it to heart?

if it's meant to help me progress and is delivered in a good way, then I'll accept it and think it over.
if someone's just being rude and giving an unwanted opinion, I'll just ignore it.

Question 1: If you had the ability to compete in the Olympics, what event would you want to be in?

any of: gymnastics, figure skating, or beach volleyball

Question 2: Do you believe the feminist movement has helped or harmed the movement for gender equality? Explain your answer, if possible. (if this offends you in any sort of way, please ignore it.)

"white feminism" and "radical feminism" hurt the movement.
"intersectional feminism" does not. intersectional feminism IS the movement.

Question 1: How do you deal with very needy people?

I don't really have very needy people in my life, to be honest.
but the way I see it...if someone wants a bit of attention, it's not gonna hurt you to give them that little bit of attention. acknowledge their presence. unless their "neediness" crosses the line into being demanding, spoiled, or obsession, there's nothing wrong with being needy.

Have you always treated people online the same way then as you do now? If not, what was the difference?

I think I still act the same online. I may be a little more sassy and impatient with stupid people, though. I'm more private too (Facebook and Twitter are private)
AND I used to run one of those silly "contest sites" on MySpace/Facebook, that I definitely don't care about now

In grave detail, explain to me how you were as a person 2 years ago compared to that to who you are now 2 years later. What changed? What inspired you to act differently? Did you have a say so in these changes?

Two years ago, I was still in college and that was my main priority. I went to class and did my work, but lived with most of my friends and had fun all the time. I only worked super part-time and money wasn't that big of an issue. I wasn't really worried about finding a career. When I wasn't at school, I lived with my mother and two brothers.
Two years later, I'm out of school. I work full-time most weeks, sometimes overtime. I make more money, but bills and student loans are kicking my ass financially. I only see my friends every couple weeks and don't really have time or money for fun. Now that I'm looking for a career, I can't find anything and I'm now looking for another part time job. A bunch of our friends are getting married, and one couple is even getting divorced. Now I live with just one brother (mom moved in with her boyfriend, other brother went away to college), but he's going into the Marines. I'm an adult now and it kind of sucks.

Do you ever feel like you don't have anymore fun or enough fun? Why do you feel that way?

Sometimes, yes.
My boyfriend and I work all the time. I'm usually just wicked tired and all we really do is sit in bed and watch tv when we have time off. Relaxing is nice, but sometimes I just wish I could go out with friends and party. But most of my money goes to bills, so I don't really have money to do anything fun anyway.

Why do you think people become so accustomed to one way of thinking without taking into consideration that there are other possibilities?

Some people don't like to be told they're wrong, so they prefer to be stubborn and closed-minded.

If you were the adoptive parent of a child of any race, how would you handle bullying towards your child simply because of their race. Would you contact the parents of the offenders? The school? The creators of whichever social media community it might've been broadcasted on?

I'm not a parent, so I don't know if my answer would be the best approach.
But...I'd contact the school about the situation and expect them to contact the other child's parents about having a sit-down conversation. I'd tell my child to tell an adult that they trust if someone is bothering them.
If it's social media, I feel like the reaction is limited to reporting and blocking the page/people involved. If it got to the point of harassment, I'd consider contacting the police

Question 2: Do you consider yourself an optimist? (an optimist is someone who is positive)

Sometimes; I try to be, anyway.
Some days just suck, but I do try to find a positive in most situations. I'm not gonna get anywhere in life only seeing the negative all the time

If you could pick an eye color what would you choose?

I'll stick with my blue eyes
Or purple would be cool

Question 1: Do you care if people talk badly about you? Why or why not?

Not really. I would only care if it was someone I was close to and cared about

Question 3: What are the five most recent movies you have watched?

The SpongeBob Movie
Out of the Furnace
A documentary on the Titanic
Mulan
Cinderella (the new one)

Why are men known as the superior species yet women are known as the inferior species? Do you agree with this theory? Why or why not?

I'm honestly not sure where this theory stemmed from. Possibly because from the beginning of history, men were the hunters and women were the gatherers? Maybe because men are usually physically stronger (meaning they show more muscle) than women. it could even be because women* have periods and are more "emotional."
either way, I don't agree with this theory at all. one gender is not superior to the other. some women are stronger than some men. some men are more in touch with their feelings than some women. we are supposed to compliment each other, not be in constant competition.

Why do you think some people are so rude to the elderly instead of respecting their elders?

it's probably a rebellion thing. kind of like "I'm rude to everyone and I don't give a shit."
but, to be honest, i've encountered plenty of elderly who are rude to younger people just because we're younger. and I understand not giving respect to someone who doesn't give respect to you.

Do you or your parents keep it nearly freezing in your home?

I prefer it to be warm and cozy.
my brother, though, usually has the house cold. he'll open all the windows and turn on the fans when he and his friends smoke in the house.

Question 1: Do you believe in yourself?

Usually I do, yes.
Sometimes my less-than-positive body confidence gets in the way, but I'm confident in myself as a person, and I try to put that first. and it helps knowing others believe in me too

Can you write your name on a paper and take a picture of it?
