Do you try to keep your eating habits healthy even while on set?

Courtney M

The food is always mostly not healthy on set. :) Especially, the crafty has all the donuts, cookies, cupcakes, jellied fruits, candies, gums, pops, and yes, there are some vegetables and fruits.. that's pretty much of them. We do have a catering service for lunch or dinner which consists a full course of well cooked meals along with refreshments and desserts, but isn't always healthy all the time. I normally would pick out the ones that are healthy or make requests on certain foods for my diet.

On my daily basis, all of my foods are organic and the diet is paleo.

As an actor do you have any pre-show rituals or superstitiouns before being able to film a scene? (Btw I love you in the role of Emmett you're an amazing actor and to be honest Switched at Birth inspired me to become a Sign Language Interpreter 😊)

Ana R. Espinoza

Hi Ana. I normally read the scene over and over again at home. I fantasize a lot and that gives me visualizations. When I get to the set, I stay in my trailer to be alone in pure quietness and to delve into depths. Between shoots, I like to remain myself in the same mood of its scene.

Is it weird that I found a sliver of light in my otherwise dark world when you introduced me to ASL on SaB. I'm probably just crazy however thank you. The mental issues I have make it hard to find the truth and light. However in your eye and actions I saw it, even if it was a tv program.

Eden

Eden,

Nothing is weird, my friend and I am truly happy that you found your silver of light. Keep at it!

Love, Sean.

How are you Sean? :) Will you meet Germany anytime? I would love to see you in real life. I just started to learn ASL although I'm german. I know it's crazy but you inspired me so much. I'm in love with your attitudes towards life and I like everything about your positive way of thinking. Love,Alina

Alina

Positivity is the best way to live the life. Be grateful on what you have in your life and try to appreciate all the little things. I'd love to visit Germany, maybe when my show comes out and I'll be able to perform in Europe as well. Meanwhile, thanks for your kind remarks and you are one of those people that inspired me to craft my art continuously.

Love, Sean.

I just want to say I love your acting so much. I have watched every episode of Switched at Birth and follow you on Twitter and think you are so funny! It would be great to see you starring in a comedy movie someday. I bet you would win an award!

Kathleen

Thank you so much. It is one of my dreams that a great screenwriter like Nancy Meyers will write a romantic script with maybe, a little hint of comedy featuring a young deaf actor. I would love to be that actor. Smile.

Hi Sean, you are such a great actor! Did you go to acting school?

Lee

Thanks. My parents will tell you I came into this world acting. No, I didn’t go to acting school but I am constantly learning everything I can about my art. I have a lot of gratitude for everyone who has helped me become the actor I am today. I’ve been lucky to work with some great people and directors along the way including the awesome Steve Miner who really taught me a lot.

It seems you like to play the romantic hero, but I would love to see you in other more challenging roles (eg: vilain, addicted, gay, mentally ill, fantasy character like elf, centaur, male memaid) have you thought about it? Would you consider or would like to play a different role?

SeanBerdyGroup

Of course, any roles too.. I have always loved to create characters and make them very special and unique.

For almost all my life I've been alone. I feel like I can't establish a real connection with anyone but my family and few close friends. People think I'm weird cause I enjoy being on my own, but is that so wrong? I don't want to fake to be someone else just to fit in. Do you have any advise?

Els

There's nothing wrong with it, my friend. Everyone is different in their own ways and you have every right to be yourself as long as it makes you happy. Maybe, you want to try and live to this philosophy which you don't need to care about other people's thoughts or feelings. They are not going to benefit you at all... stick on being yourself and not to the status quo or whatnot. Maybe that'll help you? Smile.

Hey, what type of plane do you fly? My friend got her license, when she was allowed, he let me fly with her, it was a WWII fighter plane. I loved it! P.S keep being awesome :). Sign language not only inspires me, but has given me the chance to meet amazing people! Hope to meet you one day. - Christy

Christy Hudgel

I fly Cessna 172. I've been training and studying on and off since things have come around me. I hope to get a license sometime soon though. WWII fighter plane sounds awesome.. I will seek into flying the Piper and maybe twin piston aircraft, and of course there will be more trainings for that after I get done with the 172!

At school I get bullied a lot for my appearance I have Marcus Gunn syndrome and it's something I was born with.I was wondering if you have any advice on what I should say or help the bulling stop.

Hi Caitlin. First, all of us has done bullying in our lives in different ways. However, it's still not the right thing to do.

Bullies may come from difficult or stressful lives, or how they were raised, They usually take actions against people because they want to be powerful, tough, and popular. Their feelings may also include jealousy and insecurity which they hide. Bullies like to pull people down, so they won't feel they are the only ones.

The bottom line is that you are not the problem at all, I promise you.

I would want for you to be in an environment where you feel the most comfortable. Like, be with friends and anybody else who makes you happy all the time. There is no reason to stay silent and you have people who love you so much.. speak out of your mind and they'll be there for you.

When I was growing up, I've been through just like you.. But, I guarantee you they will live up with regrets deep down inside and you will never have to.

Also, you do have a good moral value. That's something they don't have.

Smile.

- Love, Sean.

What kale smoothie recipe do you recommend? Due to my recent weight loss surgery my diet has to be less than 1000 calories a day... do you recommend any other super healthy smoothies? Thank you in advance!

Tiffany Vierra

I like any green smoothies or drinks. Whatever they have to offer, I'll just order it and consume. The one I took today is from a local organic smoothie shop and it has a lot of kale, celery, spinach, parsley, and a little bit of apple, lemon and bananas. My goal is to have my drink to be 3/4 or more of vegetables.

Do you have any advice for someone going through a hard time emotionally and mentally?

Rainah Leigh

You will need to get a lot of support from friends and families. Seeking a therapist is an option I would recommend. Please note yourself - there's nothing wrong to have someone to counsel you. Escape yourself to somewhere of nature, listen to sounds and mediate.

How do you deal with your fears (if you have any)?

Kristin Wyatt

I do have a fear of heights. Ironically, I'm currently studying in becoming a private pilot and that is flying thousands of feet above ground level (AGL). I guess my passion overcame it.

I'd just like to say you are such an inspiration to me. My mom taught me basic ASL before I could talk, as a baby. Things like "drink" "more" "eat" "love" "please" "thank-you". It's crazy how I still remember them 16 years later. You've inspired me to enhance my knowledge today and learn more ASL.

None

More than happy, Carly. Keep signing.. Smile.

when did you first realize that you love acting?

Brittany Barthelmess

Since when I was born. I started acting on my parent's bed and giving multiple shows like magic and et cetera. My brother takes care of music and lightings from our small light kit. He also performs too. We will make our own tickets and give to them. We also had two big soft office chairs right in front of us. So, they can sit and watch. Such good memories.
