Great question and I'm honored you want my opinion. With that said, it's a tough thing to really fix. Here's my take:
I think the most important thing in repairing our welfare system is education. Public K-12 education is such a joke in this country. Those who receive poor education are those who usually end up needing welfare to support themselves. We need to allocate more money towards overhauling the public education in poverty stricken areas. We need to spend less money on things like defense and focus more funding on education, because it's a joke.
That would help greatly, but it won't solve the poverty problem. We will still have the poor who need assistance. So a few smaller things that are necessary:
1. Welfare should be limited to basic needs, without allowing for the money to change hands or be used on unnecessary items.
2. Contraception should be available for no cost.
3. Mandatory drug tests for anyone on assistance.
I could name a dozen more, but those are a few I see as important. I find it funny how conservatives call themselves generous but don't want to redistribute money to the poor. The trickle down effect is a lie and not pragmatic. So there's my two cents.

Besides Miley Cyrus, Bieber is the most annoying person on the planet. Kate Upton isn't even that hot when she doesn't have loads of makeup on and has digital editing, so I'd go with my girl Shakira in Ethiopia
Damn good question. I'd first buy a house, build a pool, fill that pool with mike and ikes, then but a Toyota Highlander, buy a bunch of new electronics, and then buy all the nice clothes I've wanted but wouldn't spend the money for
If you have to tell me this anonymously you must not have much going on. So block me :) Says more about you than it does me that you take the time to hate anonymously. And if you think I'm annoying you probably don't know me so there's that
Then unfollow me, because I really couldn't give a shit
That's actually the vague premise for the novel I'm in the midst of writing. If I was told with 100% certainty there was a God I'd be on my knees praying in a second.
I think I would be very angry at this God more than anything, because what supreme being who supposedly cares about his people lets such horrible things happen to those who do not warrant it. I'd be very angry, and have more questions than I do now honestly.
Probably spending time with my family, because they're the only people who have been with me through all my trials and tribulations. Wouldn't be doing anything special, just probably sitting at the table talking about whatever comes to mind, or maybe playing a board game.
I guess I lean towards atheist more than anything, but I'm still learning more and finding myself spiritually. I don't believe in any of the common religions out there, and deism is the only plausible explanation for a higher power. I prefer to learn about as many religions as possible before I really commit myself, but I don't see myself believing in a higher power anytime soon. Nothing wrong if you do though, to each his/her own. I don't like when non-secular people criticize atheists though. I'm respectful of every faith and belief until they disrespect my lack of belief
Don't get enough interesting questions. I get a lot of comments that are positive and I definitely appreciate those, but I like ask.fm a lot more when I get really thought provoking questions.
Social and political awareness
I guess. I'm glad I don't have a really common name like John or something, even though I want to name my son John Daniel and call him JD after Zach Braff's character in Scrubs. But yeah I like my name
I think if you're gonna get one it should have some meaning to it, and you should have wanted that design for a while before you get it. I might get one someday, but I have no idea what of, so that's why I haven't gotten one yet
I try to always follow my moral compass and do what I think is the right thing, so yeah I guess that constitutes being a good person.
A movie. The point of a first date is to get to know one another well, how are you supposed to do that at a movie
Physically, my teeth.
Non-physically, my social awkwardness and my fear of failure that often keeps me from taking any chances.
Into The Wild. Amazing book about someone who gave up everything he had to search for spiritual truth in the wilderness of Alaska, and died there
Born in San Diego at the UCSD hospital.
Moved to EDH in 2002.
Graduated from Oak Ridge in May 2013.
Going to Arizona State for college.
If you'd like to know more talk to me
Thanks they're my sidekicks
Do they come across as self-pitying? I often like to poke fun at myself, but I never try to make it sound like I feel sorry for myself. I think you're mistaking me making fun of my lack of a social life as me feeling showering myself with pity. If that's how you interpret my tweets, that's your prerogative though
Thank you very much!!
I'm only 17 years old, so I don't really have a life plan, per say. But I have a couple paths I see myself going down. I am going to school to study journalism, so the first and most logical path is to go into a career in writing. I could see myself writing short stories and novels for a living, or doing what I do for a job now and cover sports for a paper. If I were to do the latter I'd want to cover a pro or college team for a pretty large paper. The second path is the military. I plan on doing ROTC In college, so if I decide that the military is the best place for me, I'd be able to go straight in as an officer.
What I do want regardless of career is a family. Want to get married in my 20's, have two kids, or as many as needed to get a boy, and have a quiet life in either California, New York, or Boston.
You know it's fun to try to say what careers or lifestyle I want because in all reality I have no idea where I'll be in ten, even five, years.

Going straight for the jugular I see. Well since I've graduated i don't really mind saying. There a lot of girls that I "like" for a brief period of time, but don't really know them that well or actually have any feelings for them. But the most recent girl I really had feelings for was this girl Sarah in my English class senior year. I think she liked me back, but I did something (I don't know what) to mess it up and we haven't talked since New Year's. I don't really regret that whatever we had ended as much as i regret how it ended, with both of us having too much pride to really talk to one another
Sounds like a lunch date lets make it happen
Aye Eli we're definitely going to Cholt bro. Hey so I'm gonna call in to the show this week with some topics. Firstly I'm gonna talk about how the Chargers should change their uniform back to the powder blue every game, home and away. Second we'll talk about this season for PAC-12 football, and third we can talk about how badly Oak Ridge dominates Pondo in every sport.
then let's go to chipotle
