What's the best news you've ever received?

Music scholarships in high school; successful audition to Bachelor of Music; invitation to play in the Sydney Opera House; invitation to play at the National Folk Festival; invitation to sing onstage with Tommy Emmanuel; my partner being able to come and visit me in Australia; recording in Nashville; Seamie O'Dowd, Tommy E, Steve Wickham, Anna Houston, James Blennerhassett, Kieran Quinn, Mike Witcher, Jim Higgins, Rudy Faulkner, Anthony Smith, Tim Carter and the McCrary Sisters playing on my album; everything my mother has ever done for me, my sister being pregnant.

If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose?

I'd invite Carl Sagan to dinner with me and my partner, Maya Angelou to dinner with me and my sister and, Barbara Streisand to dinner with me and my mother. They each have much wisdom to impart in very different ways.
