Please keep in mind that this doesn’t apply to everyone, but most men in hundreds of millions of women’s experiences do not simply want to chat. It is not in my intentions to personally attack you, but just by looking at your initial question, I can see a lot of indications of what you want. You listed your age, the fact that you are lonely, and your apparent intentions. I forget if you mentioned women in your original question or not... so I’ll leave that part out. By the way, I say ‘women’ because I am assuming that you are heterosexual. Most men who seek people online to “chat” are not simply looking to have a conversation. They usually want something. Once again, I’m not trying to attack you, this is mainly more of what millions of women (including myself) have personally experienced. I could be completely wrong about the previous statements, but there are only a few thousand genuine people out of the seven billion inhabiting this planet. I try to see the best in people, but I have been forced to keep my guard up when it comes to men. If you actually want to talk, I can do so, but I cannot give you anything other than a simple friendship. There you go. That is my reason.
