What are the different 50mm lenses available for Nikon and what would you recommend! I'm getting confused with the F and AF, 1.4 and 1.8 etc

well my 50mm is the AF1.8D, which i heard was no longer in production but ITS ON THE SITE LOL. AF is just autofocus i reckon, but 1.4 is a bigger aperture, which means a shallower depth of field (and also costs way more). There is the 50mm 1.8G too which according to Nikon is better, faster, quieter but I don't seem to find any difficulty/difference between the two. The 1.8D is way cheaper, I got it for $120. If you're not a pro I don't see the reason for getting a 1.4 because you can achieve significant shallowness (bokeh) with the 1.8. So yes, if you really just want a 50mm i'd say go for the 1.8D. No ragrets
