Hi. How are you. How to be a critical thinking especially in writing? Thank you for your kind words

Hello. One thing you could do is remember that there will always be a counter-argument for everything, so you'd have to make sure that you note those arguments in your writing. Always remember to think about everything from different perspectives and consider every possible argument or flaw in your essay.

if it is stated in the university's website that a300-500 essay is sufficient, will it be bad to write an essay around 600+ words? because I think I need to write that long to fully convey my thoughts effectively.or should I omit some parts?coz I knew that they have thousands of application to assess

Please don't write too long. If it says 300-500 words, writing even 250 words is sufficient. They don't want any flair or long descriptive essays or anything, they just want to see that you can convey your point in a limited amount of words.

please suggest me a good author who wrote novels that i can found easily in malaysia. thank you.

What genre are you looking at?

assalamualaikum kak syaza. will ETS sends my toefl score report to my home automatically, or do i need to request them for one??

Wa'alaikumsalam. Kena request. :)

How do you study for Philosophy class and what kind of reading materials do you refer to when you write essays? How do you score high marks on essays (what do you focus on in your essays)? Need your help :)

Well, I basically use the articles and papers that were assigned in class, and wrote either an argument either for or against one of the points noted in those readings. My first essay wasn't that good, and my professor told me to focus on one argument in the article instead of writing about a whole bunch of stuff.
(Lol I don't even know what I'm saying here, sorry bro, taktahu how to help :/)

Hi kak syaza! Camne nak hilangkan homesick eh? :(

Hello :) Err. Entahlah. Busy-kan diri dengan benda lain, maybe? Lagi banyak benda on your mind to think about, lagi less time to be homesick la kot.

Thanks for replying my question and sorry spamming with the same question,I thought my question is not delivered to you..Thanks again ! Have a nice day ! :)

No problemo, have a good day too :)

Pffftt, sekali sekala nk tngok jugak kau feed people cili padi yg kecik kecik tu. You know, as a warning not to be stupid. Ahhaha

Nahh. I'm too good for that.

Hai kak syaza! I just wanna suggest for the one that asked about canadian pre-u, mybe u can try to email bro Aiman Azlan coz as far as I knew he did undergo the programme before he went to uni of toronto :). Try to check his blog to get his email address

Or you can just Google up Google Hangout 3.0, and watch our Google Hangout session, where we talked about a lot of pre-u programmes, and, of course, Aiman Azlan was there as well talking about his journey as a student :)

Hi kak syaza. Boleh saya tahu canadian pre university tu macam mana

Hello. Sorry, tak tahu sangat pasal Canadian Pre-U. Sorry :(

Yeayyu, yeap tadi tu aku. Cis, baru nak tngok kau keluarkan comment pedas. Hahaha

Tak makan pedas ah bro, sorry.

Hai Nazuuuu~ guess who I am? Hint : aku comel. What do you think of Malaysia wholly right now? The place, culture, mentality, politics? What do you think our role and our vision should be for Malaysia?

Hello, Pingu ke ni? :)
I would not comment on the politics in Malaysia, I'm trying to stay away from that. As for the place and culture, I feel like it's a nice place to visit or stay in, after being around different countries and all.
The mentality of Malaysians, well, let's not let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch. I've met my fair share of idiotic people as well as superbly genius people in Malaysia. As much as I would like to say I hate the mentality of stupid Malaysians who believe stupid stuff and say stupid things, I know that this 'stupid Malaysians' are only a small minority in Malaysia with a loud voice.
As for our role and vision, well, we have the responsibility to bring Malaysia to the top of the world, right?

Aku suka pendapat kau pasal SPM tu ..baru aku sedar yang SPM tak kemana kalau tak score bila kat U nanti right?

hai sis syaza I intend to take math to continue my study for degree, currently studying at matric..can u slightly explain about acturial sc? and do u have friends that take math at oversea University ? :)

Hello. Sorry this took a while to be answered (and probably next time you don't have to resend the same question, 'cause if it's a genuine question, I will answer it, it may just take a while to be answered).
I'm not sure of any friends that's taking 'Mathematics' abroad, or maybe it's just me not being observant enough. I do have a senior who did Statistics, I think, or something along that line, in the UK. She did A-Levels prior to studying in the UK though. I'm not that familiar about students from Matriculation flying abroad, but it may be because I am not that familiar with matriculation students, so I would suggest you to ask your seniors about it, or perhaps ask your counselor if they can be of help with that.
And I'm not sure I am the right person to explain about Actuarial Science, since I've just started to take actuarial classes last semester. Perhaps you could Google up Sains Aktuari or Actuarial Science and read up on all the blog posts available on this to learn more.
What I can say is that, unlike common misconception, Actuarial Science is not about any science subjects. And it is not purely mathematics or statistics. So if someone told you to take Actuarial Science because you love Mathematics, please stop. It is not just about mathematics. You will need to learn about business as well. And depending on where you take it, you might have to study some science subjects to fulfill the degree requirements. So it will all depends on the university that you will be taking it at.
Hope this helps a bit, and sorry I couldn't give a more in depth explanation. I'm still trying to understand it myself, and from what I do, the program differs between universities and countries as well.

if we took science stream at matriculation. it is available to pursue studying in actuarial science??

I'm guessing that you can.
UKM's requirement states that you must "lulus sekurang-kurangnya gred C dalam kursus Matematik dan dua kursus yang lain di peringkat Matrikulasi KPM" (http://www.ukm.my/PSA/KENALAKTUARI.htm#SYARAT-SYARAT_MASUK).
Meanwhile, UiTM's requirement states that you must have "Asasi UiTM/PASUM/Matriculation with minimum CGPA of 2.50 in and at least grade C+ (GPA 2.33) in two (2) subject including Mathematics/Engineering Mathematics and grade C (GPA 2.0) in one (1) other subject." (http://fskm.uitm.edu.my/v1/academic/undergraduate/bachelor/bachelor-of-science-hons-actuarial-science-cs222.html#admission-requirements)
USIM's requirement also states that you must "Lulus dengan sekurang-kurangnya Gred C (2.00) dari mana-mana satu mata pelajaran berikut di peringkat Tamhidi (atau yang setaraf dengannya): Fizik / Kimia / Biologi / Matematik". (http://fst.usim.edu.my/akademik/program-pra-siswazah/syarat-kemasukan)
I'm guessing Mathematics is included in the Science stream in Matriculation, so you should be fine. But I would suggest consulting with an academic advisor at your college to learn more about it.
