what's your opinion on electronic cigarettes or aromatherapy oil vaporizers (like monq)? do you think they're a safe alternative to smoking, or are there still risks associated with them?

My opinion on e-cigarettes is they are no different from regular. The bad stuff "taken out"but definitely not healthy to do. The best thing to do not to smoke at all. Not a safe alternative. Should be outlawed at the federal level like marijuana is. But that's how I feel.

There's a lot we still don't know about them so no one can be 100% sure that there are no risks. I don't really see the point in them. If you want to quit smoking, you will.

My boyfriend has a vape and it's much better for him than cigarettes as they've caused him problems with his ribs before and he doesn't get that with his vape. If you use all natural oils it should be safe.

Also! I reread Aromatherapy and I have a question! In your mind, what did ChenKrisYeol's relationship end up being? I've always wondered that!

Oh, they definitely developed a three-way relationship and fell in love and boinked like crazy in every combination you can think of and lived happily ever after. But that's not a super interesting story lmao.

Ka rara pernah gak, bosen sama temen2 di sekeliling kakak? Aku gitu nih, ga tau kenapa, pengennya nyendiri mulu, ga pengen berteman dengan siapa siapa? hayo kak, kasih semangat aku dong?

it's okay. sometimes everyone needs time alone to recharge their emotional energy after dealing with this world's negativity and compromising with people.
if you need to be alone for a while, do it. be alone. use the time to do the things you can't do while you're surrounded by other people.
to me, it's reading and exploring music. i'm a people-oriented person. reading takes a lot of concentration, therefore, i can't read when i'm with people because that means i'll have to ignore them. so do it! read, explore music, maybe try to learn a musical instrument? i find it rewarding. and also small simple DIY crafting. after more than 10 years living all digital, one day i decided to make origami flowers (it was for mas kis' birthday gift) and you know what? it felt so calming and rewarding. anything you want to learn about is available on youtube and pinterest!
or give yourself some reward. buy bath salt, take some nice warm bath. get some body massage. lit aromatherapy candles at home. the choice is endless ;)
i promise you'll be back in a fresher, much better condition to socialize with others :-)

What are you favourite alternative medicines to use? Do you make them yourself or buy them from a particular retailer etc.?

Firstly I'd like to say that if/when my children are seriously ill I take them to the doctor/a&e. Luckily my children have never been ill except William having meningitis & I took him to the hospital before anyone even knew what was wrong with him. Just thought I'd put that out there before someone says something, which they probably will.
• I use elderberry syrup daily, it helps boost your immune system and basically stops you getting the cold/flu. I swear the stuff is amazing you should try it some time :)!
• honey for sore throats, coughs, colds
• I use a lot of aromatherapy oils, I know some people don't even believe that they have any purpose. However I even used them during labour because my midwife rocks & I swear they're a god send. I use them for everything from helping promote sleep, relaxation, uplifting mood, pain relief, inflammation ect.
• reiki treatment, I never really fully understood or believed the effects of reiki treatment until I tried it myself. I honestly can't describe the feeling it left me, you really need to try it at least once.
We use loads actually but those are some basic ones and ones we use often. My 'medicine' cabinet is basically just a load of 'lotions and potions' ?. I don't even have anything like calpol for kids.

Have you ever tried aromatherapy to alter your well-being? Regardless of whether you have or have not, do you believe aromatherapy is effective? Elaborate, please.

No I haven't but I can imagine it would be effective only slightly in the sense that the placebo effect would be at play if a person truly believed it would work and in the sense that it induced relaxation and pleasant memories from the smells to give a temporary fix. Other than that I can't see it being more than a fringe method for personal wellbeing.

My insurance doesn't cover that, but I can see how it could work for some people. There are all kinds of scents that can make me feel temporarily happy and they often bring back memories and stuff like that. But I would never pay for it, because I could do it myself. :)
BQ: I'm not a physician or a medical professional, so my answer is only a personal opinion. But I think it could be used for some people, but it would depend on the condition. However, I think a person should see their primary care doctor before trying any type of alternative method outside the scope of medicine.

Yes I have and I do often, it often helps with things such as my mental state which in turn helps my physical health. I don't believe it works for everyone, but I certainly believe it works for some.
I use aromatherapy on a week-to-week basis, for things such as headaches, anxiety, stomach problems and I even plan on using it during labour this time because I know my body and mind respond well to it.

I actually do believe in this treatment and it's very effective since our nose is a major part of our senses. I've been using it ever since I was a child inspired from my mother. My mother would always fill the aroma of home with different fragrances mainly jasmine, lavender, Arabic bakhoor and many more.
When I need a boost, something to ease my stress, I immediately apply perfume. Scented candles is a must at home. It's the lightest touch that makes the largest difference.

Do you love making your home smell good? Do you use any wax warmers, or sprays? What's your favorite scent or is there too many to choose from?

alabamabeautyx’s Profile PhotoXoxo, Jessi.
I use an aromatherapy defuser. You just use water and drop in some essential oils and it creates a cold must which makes the room smell amazing. It's really healthy and good for you too. I'm careful about sprays and candles due to chemicals hidden within them.

Evening! Do you prefer sleeping with your lights on or off? Do you mind telling me the reason? Thank you and have a nice sleep! ☺☺☺(totally not creepy at all) (lol jk)

I like it cold, dark, quiet, and smelling of things from my aromatherapy collection.
I like it cold because I don't know why. I'm so fussy. Hotness makes me greatly uncomfortable, even if I sleep in the bare. I think coldness is nice because it gives you a chance to snuggle up warmly in your blanket.
I like it dark and quiet because I am easily distracted by lights and noises. I need silence to concentrate properly. My room is basically a vortex. You usually can't tell what time it is because the windows are made to create a sense of time standing still. Kalo pacaran di kamar gue rasanya kayak bisa selamanya gitu (uhuy).
I like to use aromatherapy I could always recall who did I have sex with every time I poured lavender or citrus into the aromatherapy machine or at least mask the smell of my cat's shit from his litter box.
But yes, to answer your question, lights off. I only turn on the lights when the spirits are bothering me.

Hi! As we know, people use/do different things to help them go to bed earlier and get into a deep sleep. How about you? What things do you usually do/get before going to bed and also for having a deep sleep?

hi! actually there's nothing special about it, at least for me. I always turn off the light, sleep on the right side of my body, listening to ballad songs.. Those things help me a lot.
But, when i work super late and get so tired, i use aromatherapy to help me get my deep sleep.

[ARTICLE] Selena’s FULL new interview with “Into The Gloss”, done on September 15th, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA!

SelenaGNews’s Profile PhotoSelena Gomez News ♡
PART 4:
BODY
I like to take my time in the shower and turn it into a steam room—right now I’m using The Bath and Body Works Aromatherapy Sugar Eucalyptus Tea Scrub and USPA Mud Therapy Complete Body Rejuvenator. It’s so funny, when you use it your whole body looks like it’s covered in mud. So I put the shower on really hot, I put the scrub on, use this scrub brush from The Body Shop, wash that off, and then I’ll put the Mud on and sit and let it all soak in. Maybe I’ll shave with the EOS Moisturizing Shave Cream, which is nice because it isn’t too thick.
If I’m sore from training or rehearsing, I grab Handheld Heat Muscle Balm by Sumbody, which is great for when you have a stress knot. You just put it on it heats up. Or I use Still Standing Pain Relieving Spray because it’s easy.
FRAGRANCE
Before I lived in my own house, I’d have a bunch of candles for my room in my parents’ house, and they would last forever. But now that I have this whole house, every room must have a scent! And I want them to be lit every night, because it just feels so good—I’ll light them in the piano room where we always have jam sessions or even during the daytime when I’m doing my makeup. My favorite scents are Voluspa Mokara and Voluspa Saijo Persimmon, neither of them are too expensive. I was into Le Labo for a while, but only in my room, because they’re expensive. I’ll save that for my tour bus now."

ARTICLE Selenas FULL new interview with Into The Gloss done on September 15th

Hey there! What will you do to entertain yourself if you had a really bad day? I hope you didn't, though.

I'm an easy to please person. I could easily make my mood with a good TV show, cooking or baking (and eating it), my favorite songs, shop or sew clothes, a stroll at my favorite hardware store to buy cheap little things I don't need, learning or trying new things, even a nice scent of soap or aromatherapy can make me happy. :D
It's either I'm too good at entertaining myself or I'm just gampangan.
